The pub has recently changed ownership, unfortunately the gluten free selection has reduced significantly. Previously the menu had a lot of gluten free options clearly labelled, starters mains and dessert. Now you have to ask staff and they bring an allergen matrix over, and there are only a couple of gf options, so it feels more of a hassle and not much choice. The food was good, not as good as before, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend anymore to anyone looking for a gluten free option in the area, and probably won't be back. I used to go all the time. New ownership isn't gluten free friendly is my summary.

The things that makes this place is the staff, they are all delightful, and “on it,” and the manager is the most wonderful, kind and lovely human. Even if something goes askew the staff are so fantastic about it that you just don’t care. The cater for all sorts of allergens, not with just one or two items, but multiple, and if there’s not something you can eat, they’ll make sure there is. I have loads of food sensitives that make me quite unwell and I was spoilt for choice with all the options on their Sunday menu. I even got to have a gorgeous chicken and apricot terrine, which I haven’t been able to eat in years (gluten and dairy free). The vegan and gluten free mushroom pie was also delicious and my pals who have zero dietary requirements were surprised by how good the pastry was. I honestly feel like this is one of the best gastropubs in London. The food is good, the staff are wonderful and it’s always a pleasure to be there.

Pulled beef brisket croquets were amazing good flavour and good presentation, we had two chicken Milanese and they were scrumptious, gluten free onion rings were a must try, so light and flavoursome. Lovely staff very friendly. A must try restaurant for anyone Gluten-free or coeliac
