I come here because my partner has celiac disease, and it has become such a lovely place for us. I’m not usually a risotto person, so I almost always order the steak—and I like it very rare. Last Thursday, I had the most marvelous blue-rare steak of my life. Truly. It was the last thing I expected from this restaurant, and yet the thickness, the cut, the sear, and the temperature were all absolutely impeccable. This is not a steakhouse, of course, so I imagine the steak may vary from day to day—but on its best day, it is simple, unfussy, and utterly perfect. A rare little pleasure. And the tiramisu of the day was just as charming: simple, elegant, unpretentious, and completely delicious. Exactly the sort of dessert one wants at the end of a beautiful meal.

I would say this is probably one of the best risotto I’ve ever had. Not too heavy but very tasty. All food is gluten free. Sweets are also very impressive. For ppl coming , fyi they only provide risotto, and some of main dishes.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had, even back when I was able to eat gluten. The staff was very friendly & the entire facility is gluten free. We tried the bruschetta app, scallop risotto, spinach/asiago risotto, profiteroles & the tiramisu. It was all phenomenal. My gluten eating sister said the tiramisu was the best she has ever had. We are still dreaming about this meal and will for a long time to come.

We had a great experience at Risotteria Melotti. We went there because it is a 100% gluten free and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. We got Fritto Misto and Arancini for appetizers, followed by risotti (spinach and asiago cheese, black risotti with shrimp and calamari, pumpkin and sausage) and desserts (profiteroles, peach cobbler and semifreddo). I would suggest the black rice if you like a rice al dente, otherwise there are many other options. Ari waited on us and he was very attentive.

Fantastic risottos and other rice-based food! I contacted the restaurant beforehand because my husband has dairy and pepper allergies and I wasn’t sure he’d be able to eat there. The staff enthusiastically responded that they could accommodate, and they did! My husband had the lemon shrimp risotto, prepared pepper and dairy free, I had duck breast ragu and our friend had the wild boar ragu. The bruschetta appetizer was also delicious (hard to believe it’s gluten free). We had the mushroom, tomato, and pesto burrata toppings. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The atmosphere warm and festive although a bit tight (not surprising for Manhattan). Definitely will be back!!

Unbelievable Italian dinner and hard to believe it is gluten free! Loved exploring their risotto menu. Enjoyed the duck breast ragu dish with the penne. Don’t skip dessert here either

Great risottos and gluten-free desserts, celiacs can be at ease. The prices are a bit high, in line with the city of NYC.

The food is good, but the service was quite distracted. We ordered a gluten-free beer and a normal one, and they were brought directly in glasses, with neither marked as gluten-free, and the waitress seemed confused about which one was gluten-free. Anyway, we ordered another one and asked for it to be brought in a bottle. Then we ordered a fried dish as a main course and not as an appetizer, and it was charged €20, while our table neighbor ordered the fried dish as an appetizer and it was identical to ours, only it cost $4 less. Then, as soon as we finished dinner, they practically pushed us out to make room for others. In short, the food is good, but overall we did not enjoy the experience. Not recommended.
