Hotel Holidays | Gluten-free in Roccaraso

We stayed at the Holidays hotel from Saturday, May 3rd to Monday, May 5th, with overnight stay and breakfast. The hotel is very easy to reach, located in a green area isolated from the center of Roccaraso, which is reachable by car in 4 minutes. We were warmly welcomed by the owner, who, after asking us how the trip went and completing the check-in, gave us some advice and provided us with an itinerary to follow by car to visit various towns in the area such as Castel di Sangro, Scontrone, Civitella Alfedena, Scanno, etc., and kindly offered us a juice and a coffee. We then went up to our room (opened with a key card, not a traditional key), a minimal style room, well equipped consisting of: - a bathroom (toilet, bidet, sink, shower, and hairdryer) with towels, toilet paper, soap, tissues, shower cap, cotton swabs, and toothbrush holder - the sleeping area with a double bed with wall lighting, two nightstands (one with integrated wireless charger) and a wardrobe with hangers, various shelves, an extra blanket, and an extra pillow - a spacious desk between the wardrobe and the window with illuminated mirror and a mini-fridge, suitable as a makeup station or for those needing to work on a PC. As for breakfast, it is available from 7:30 to 9:30. On the breakfast table, there is immediately a plate with croissants to fill with different flavors of jam or hazelnut cream (the classic mini packs placed on a plate on each table) and the necessary dishes, and the waiter immediately asks if you would like coffee, cappuccino, or tea and prepares them personally. On two larger tables, there are other dishes available buffet-style such as fruits, fruit juices, yogurt, toppings, muesli, tarts, and various cakes, bread, cheese, ham, other jams, and gluten-free packaged products, all very good. I would say it is a well-organized, equipped, clean, professional, and at the same time welcoming place. We also got to know the owner who told us about various adventures including especially those with bears and various excursions he organizes. We did not have the opportunity to try the hotel restaurant as we preferred to take advantage of the little time we had available to explore the various nearby towns (I highly recommend Pescocostanzo which is about 10/15 minutes by car from the hotel), but we will definitely return considering the positive experience of this stay and will also try the restaurant.

The hotel is conveniently located on the access road to Roccaraso, not very close to the town center. It has a large parking area. The rooms are spacious, recently renovated, clean, and equipped with all services, but above all warm with personalized temperature control. The heating in the bathroom is excellent. Breakfast and dinner are well-stocked with particular attention to gluten-free options. The staff is very kind and helpful. The sale of local products is highly appreciated.
