A traditional pub. Real homemade food by a talented chef. Staff always welcoming and friendly. They also take your drink and food orders from your table. Special nights for food. Pies and homemade chips to die for! Drinks all reasonably priced... and served well. Great choice too. A large pub split into a conservatory, lounge and public bar. A friendly, safe and fun place to drink/eat in. Gluten free menu is huge and lots of veggie options too. Not expensive... especially for real homemade food. Not all is homemade... so do ask! Can recommend pies and lasagne. Superbly made.

Wow! as someone who has to eat gluten free due to being coeliac, the Countryman was brilliant, so many dishes to choose from, just a shame we don't live nearer. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was lovely, fresh with good portion sizes. Sometimes when I eat out it can be disappointing as I look at the normal meals that other people get and my gf meal can be small and dry, but my gluten free meal here was just as good, thanks it makes such a difference
