My twin sister and I are visiting the city from Maine. We had a wonderful time at Cafeteria tonight! We both have a gluten allergy and I was impressed by all of the gluten free choices on the menu. Our meals were delicious, from appetizers to desert! Our waiter, Nick, took such good care of us and suggested menu items that were amazing! The manager, Louie, checked in with us, answered our questions and generally made us feel really welcome. We'll definitely return the next time we're in the city!

We met for dinner at Cafeteria in Chelsea. Pretty relaxed place, friendly staff, nothing too fancy—which I actually liked. We came especially to try their mac & cheese. It’s not really my kind of food, but honestly, it was really good! Creamy and rich—I totally get why people love it. The menu is very American, with some seafood and other options too. I asked if they had a whole wheat option for bread, but they didn’t. Only gluten-free or served in a lettuce leaf. Not a big deal, but it would be great to have that for people following an ADA-friendly diet. The food was tasty, not trying to be upscale or anything. A good spot for a casual night out goth friends 7/10

Super hip place that gives upscale vibes with the interior and serves elevated comfort food. Indoor-outdoor boundary is blurred with the seating that feels very open and nice. Great place for brunch or early dinner. There’s all types of people, families in there, very wholesome. There’s plenty of gluten free/vegan/vegetarian options as well. Servers are nice and accommodating but not overwhelming. Bar is gorgeous and the drinks were great! I had the Bistro Burger with a lettuce wrap (9/10), Deviled Eggs (9/10), Burrata (9/10), Polenta Fries (10/10), Grilled Chicken Paillard (6/10) and the Wildberry Mojito (8/10) over two visits recently. As an interior designer, I must note that the interior is absolutely stunning and very thought to the last detail. For a small space, they really made it look nice and conceptually consistent which I love!

Visiting Manhattan, we stopped at Cafeteria a couple of times, and enjoyed it. The prices are good, the food is really good, and the ambience is nice. I was happy with their gluten free selections. The drinks aren’t bad either. :)
