- No prices displayed and it seemingly irritated the employee to list off all the prices… -Alot of sub-par icing (flattened on half the whole cake in the window etc) -We were served a sloppy broken piece of the Black Velvet after paying. For a cake slice that cost €3.90 I was shocked at the lack of care. - Take-away was in plastic, would’ve hoped for something more sustainable. -Taste of cake: bitty icing (chewy and had to get my mouth round it) and lacked any discernible flavour - for a chocolate cake. Will not be returning. I had better coeliac-friendly cake in normal cafés in Madrid…

Cute café of the Celicioso franchise in an upscale hotel. There are many different meal options on the menu so that everyone can find something they like, including vegans and vegetarians. As a celiac, I'm super grateful such a nice place that is 100% gluten free exists. The tofu poke bowl was not mind blowing, but solid. The Energy green juice was really good. Coffee average. Nice stylish interior and there are electrical sockets down the entire right side of tables when you enter to charge your laptop or phone. Some people were there working. Price wise, it's on the higher side but then it's in the centre of a capital city and gluten free ingredients are more expensive, so it's understandable. Service was friendly and helpful. If you're in a rush, might be better to say it when you order as the pace is rather leisurely in here.

Delicious food, there’s a variety of salads and mains apart from cakes and sweets. The inside is very welcoming as well, well working AC was definitely appreciated while hiding from Madrids heat. Very good visit, recommended.

Whenever I’m in Madrid I love to go to Celicioso. It’s a comfortable setting where you always feel welcome! The staff is kind, accommodating and quick. We were lucky to have Geoffrey as our waiter and he was extremely kind, friendly and efficient. Thanks!!! We woke up late so we had a late breakfast. We shared the eggs Benedict with avocado and the lemon merengue tart. 10/10 recommend especially if you’re gluten free or sensitive!!!
