We had just arrived in town after walking the day's segment of Camino de Santiago and were hungry for some good food. As we started looking around our hotel we came upon Il Piccolo and the restaurant looked nice. My wife is gluten-free and we were hoping to have a few options for her. The owner greeted us and explained about the various gluten-free choices. My wife was delighted that she could have gluten-free spaghetti carbonara. We ordered a Caprese O Bufala to share, the Carbonara and the Caponata pizza. The Caprese was fresh and delicious. The carbonara was perfectly prepared and pizza was delicious, although I usually prefer crispier crust. And the other surprise was when the owner asked my wife if she would like some gluten-free bread and shortly thereafter a small roll of freshly baked bread appeared at the table (2€) Service is attentive and friendly and the prices are reasonable. It wasn't until after we left the restaurant that we learned Il Piccolo is a Michelin-Started restaurant. We highly recommend Il Piccolo and we will return if we're ever back in this part of Spain.
