We came for lunch. I am suitably impressed. A 3 course meal including wine for 16€ and good quality food is hard to beat. I’d recommend La Trista to all, even if are not gluten intolerant.

I wish there was a restaurant like this in every city I visit, as a gluten intolerant person it was a wonderful find, staff were lovely, food really tasty… and a good price. I thought the menu was great, a bit different from the majority of restaurants in the region, healthier and more varied.

Walked in because of the great reviews and was not disappointed. Delicious food and wine. I had their house specialty which was a type of seafood paella/risotto and then the shrimp which were huge and delicious. (Heads on for those more timid). For dessert I chose the lemon cream. All was fabulous and for 12 euro!

I went to this place because it has such high reviews. I ordered a hamburger to take away and was very disappointed after being initially impressed. The owner chatted with me about the Camino and gave me a free beer both at the bar and to take with me and that's when asked for a good review on Google. When I actually ate the burger I realized it was just a gimmick, this place didn't deserve a good score and the high score it has is inflated. The burger was very dry and so was the bread. It was also very expensive compared to local standards. In his stories he told me about how much money he was making from the pilgrims by renting out rooms. I don't recommend this place especially to pilgrims. It's just another business trying to make cash from the Camino. There are plenty of other options in Leon.
