The Spitzbueb was delicious, but the prices were extremely high. 13.50 CHF for two bread rolls and a Spitzbueb is, in my opinion, the upper limit…

I've been there twice now during opening hours, and it was closed. That's quite disappointing, as you can't just buy gluten-free baked goods everywhere. I understand that it's more work to produce completely gluten-free products, but I also think the prices are too high (almost CHF 5 for a small braided loaf).

On Saturday, I bought a pretzel (50% off) and a small nut cake (20% off) for a total of CHF 8.50. The bread was very salty and inedible. The saleswoman said the pastry was delivered frozen, they thawed it, and it could then be sold for five days. The nut cake could only be eaten with a spoon because it had almost completely fallen apart. Conclusion: far too expensive and not recommended in terms of taste.

I think it's great that someone is finally dedicating themselves to gluten-free products. And we're convinced that Jackie's will take off once the recipes are refined. Unfortunately, I have to admit that we're very disappointed at the moment. Only the (vanilla) Bundt cakes are recommendable without reservation. The nut cake and the Linzer torte are also okay. For the rest, there are even better frozen products available in the area at a much lower price. The carrot cake is practically inedible – it tastes like a lemon brick. We bought a sampler for around 50 (!) Swiss francs, and here's our conclusion: - The biggest problem: Dough products like bread and cakes are far too dense, heavy, and have far too much rice flour (at least that's how it feels). - The breads are as hard to digest as bricks. - The sweets, with the exception of the Bundt cakes, are very disappointing: Neither the texture nor the taste is right. Often far too sweet and sometimes with an almost chemical aftertaste. - The prices are at least twice as high. - The reason for the two stars: We were sold inedible, burnt lemon tarts. Something like that shouldn't even leave the bakery. We'd gladly give Jackie's another chance, but regular retailers—and several bakery chains in the area—offer better products for less money. Thank you, however, for the friendly service in the shop. We felt very comfortable and hope to be able to come back sometime and be convinced by their better products.

Woke up on Sunday morning to get a few things but apparently it's only open five hours a week, thereby making itself totally useless to any normal person. Not sure where you have to be in life to plan your baked-goods purchases six days in advance, but it is deeply unfamiliar terrain to me.
