What a gem! We ordered the Schnitzel (gluten-free available which is amazing) and it was delicious. The staff is very nice and smiling. Great experience, will visit again on my next trip!

Fantastic tavern! The food was truly incredibly delicious and worth its price for this quality. I've never eaten such a good gluten-free schnitzel. We'll definitely be back! The atmosphere is very cozy, and the service was top-notch. Just a great place 🍻

The food at the Hohenwart inn was truly excellent. I was particularly impressed by the gluten-free schnitzel – super crispy, top-notch in flavor, and finally a really good gluten-free alternative that doesn't taste like deprivation. The service was also friendly and attentive, with a cozy atmosphere. We were all very satisfied and would love to come back!

Great gluten free offering for typical Bavarian food. Watch out if you are a celiac as they are not fully conscious about cross contamination. We ordered a Gluten-free dish which they brought with roasted onion on top which was NOT gluten free. Service is apart from that very friendly. They have a good drinks offering, several Spritz and fun cocktails

I would prefer to give negative stars. I was first insulted by the waiter and then mocked. I have never experienced something like this in such an extreme manner. I have had celiac disease for 22 years and unfortunately, I often deal with very rude service staff when it comes to the GLUTEN FREE question. In the end, I even apologized for my inquiry, as such situations can usually be resolved with kindness on my part. Unfortunately, he just became ruder the longer the conversation went on. Also, when it came to the food, a friend ordered a "vegan broccoli steak." What came was overcooked, unseasoned broccoli. Another friend was heavily insulted by the waiter after asking for tap water. If we hadn't been with a group of 25 people, I wouldn't have eaten there at all. Before I let myself be insulted like that, I'd rather cook myself the gluten-free roast pork. I don't want to eat in such a bad atmosphere.

Enjoying gluten-free and living Bavarian tavern culture. The Hohenwart tavern is a modernized inn that has not lost its charm. The menu features classics of Bavarian cuisine while considering dietary restrictions and preferences (e.g., gluten-free) – that's particularly pleasing! In addition to the selection, the quality of the dishes is positively noteworthy – the roast pork was tender inside with a crispy crust, a dream! The Kaiserschmarren as a dessert is also a clear recommendation. However, it is crowned by the service – fast, reliable, attentive, and above all, a good team. This is how Bavarian tavern culture is brought into the 21st century without leaving its roots behind. We will gladly return!

I really enjoyed that they balance the vibe of a traditional Wirtshaus with modern food options - plenty of options for those looking for something gluten free and/or vegetarian. Service wasn’t very attentive, but the food made up for the experience.

Many gluten free options! My fiancé has celiac and had no issues. She had the snitzel but I recommend the oven fresh roast pork. It was the best meal I had in Germany while I was there. See photos for the translated English menu I created.

We went there quite spontaneously during the week - it was super busy and yet we were allowed to sit at the bar - that was great ☺️ thank you so much for that! It's nice to see that the place is doing so well. I love coming here to treat myself to a gluten-free schnitzel 🤗 not a given and so good! ☺️
