Great gluten free crepes! The owner was so kind and made the batter fresh for us. He even gave us a discount :) *not celiac safe because the pan is shared

If you’re exploring central Paris and need a break from the crowds, Happy Caffé on Rue de Rivoli is an absolute must-visit. Located just steps from the Tuileries Garden and the Louvre, this charming little crêperie delivers an experience that goes far beyond the food. The crepes here are made fresh right in front of you, and they’re genuinely delicious. I had the ham, cheese, and egg savory crepe, which had perfectly crispy edges and a tender, flavorful filling. For dessert, the Nutella, strawberry, and banana crepe was heavenly – and they’re generous with the toppings! They also accommodate gluten-free diets, which is a rare find in Paris. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. The owner (affectionately nicknamed “Tom Cruise” by regulars) is incredibly charismatic and welcoming. He chats with guests, cracks jokes, and even draws little happy faces on your coffee. It’s the kind of personal touch that makes you feel like a friend rather than just another tourist. The prices are remarkably reasonable for such a central location, making it excellent value for money. The only downside? It’s a small space, so expect a short wait during peak hours – but it’s absolutely worth it.
