By far the best gluten free bakery in Portland metro. On a completely different level than any other GF offering here. Flaky pastry crusts, warm flavorful quiche and nostalgic poptarts make this my favorite place to stop on lazy weekend mornings. They make the most of the location and have a decent vibe for a casual delicious breakfast or fun treat.

This is THE best bakery in the Portland Metro area. They have sweet and savory, vegan options, frozen items to bake at home....and ALL of it is celiac friendly. The best part is the staff! I had a terrible experience at bakery in Lake Oswego when I went in for a birthday treat. Today at Hold the Wheat I was treated with so much kindness it made me cry. EVERYONE needs to try this place out! Celiac or not, the baked goods are scrumptious!

Stop! Go in! My gluten-allergic self has driven past this adorable GF cafe a hundred times and I finally went in the other day. The staff was genuinely friendly, the vibe is pleasant, and the treats- so yummy! In addition to these delicious cupcakes that DON’T taste GF, I got the biscuits and this little sausage pastry thing that reminded me of the Pig Newtons I loved years ago at Jim & Patty’s. They also made me a yummy oatmilk latte 😋 This little spot is wonderful, I’m so glad there’s a yummy gluten free bakery close to home 🧁

Hold the wheat now holds a place in my heart. This place has so many vegan AND gluten free options. I got the Pumpkin Loaf. It was Vegan and GF. You couldn’t even tell it’s vegan OR GF. I’m neither gluten free or vegan. The loaf was super moist. My fiance got the caramel apple sweetie pie. And he fell in love with it.
