WORTH THE SEARCH. Santana Mavericks is a family-friendly restaurant overlooking Big Bear Lake. It serves a wide variety of food and what we had for lunch was delicious. I had the tuna melt sandwich and the other members of our party had the chicken cashew salad and the BLT. The food was served promptly and well-presented. My sandwich was large and not overly saucy with large chunks of tuna. The bread was perfectly toasted. The salad was large with sliced, roasted chicken on the top. Note: Gluten-free bread IS available for sandwiches. The restaurant is basic and attractive. Plenty of parking right outside the door with TWO on-site overflow lots. If the weather is nice, there's a pretty deck with gorgeous lakefront views. Full bar. Great service - very nice staff. Plenty of room for kids. If you're tired and want a good place to eat, I would heavily recommend.
