The Menhir Restaurant in Pozzuoli is a real gem nestled in the charming alleys of this city. From the entrance, you can feel a welcoming and unique atmosphere, anticipating the culinary experience that is about to begin. This venue specializes in the delicacies of the beautiful island of Sardinia, offering dishes that are a celebration of flavors, even gluten-free, to my delight. The true distinguishing touch of Menhir is the exquisite courtesy of Massimo in serving at the tables and the refinement of his wife in preparing the dishes. The passion and care they put into every detail make a difference, providing a memorable culinary experience. For all celiacs, Menhir Restaurant is an authentic paradise. They are registered with AIC (Italian Coeliac Association), and they are part of the AFC (Eating Out) program, providing extra security for celiacs. Menhir offers a wide variety of typically Sardinian dishes, with the vast majority also available for celiacs. From classic delights like sandwiches to more traditional dishes, one can enjoy authentic Sardinian cuisine without worries. The dining room is decorated in welcoming colors, creating an intimate and warm atmosphere. Every bite of the proposed dishes immediately conveys the authentic flavor of Sardinia, transporting diners on a true culinary journey. The platter of Sardinian products is an extraordinary experience, with pork, wild boar, and sheep cured meats interacting with various aged pecorino and goat cheeses. The coppa di testa is a genuine delight. Among the main dishes I tried, besides the platter of cured meats and cheeses, were Malloreddus with zucchini and shepherd's spicy cream, Sardinian sausage with cannonau wine and melted pecorino, and to finish, the Seadas dessert, all truly exceptional. I highly recommend Menhir Restaurant to anyone who wishes to experience a unique culinary journey, immersing themselves in the authentic flavors of Sardinia. The attention to detail, care for celiacs, and warm hospitality make this place a must for lovers of good cuisine. I can't wait to return to savor these Sardinian delights again!

The Menhir pub is located in Pozzuoli in the ancient area, in one of the alleys adjacent to the port, specifically on Via Cesare Battisti. If you reach the venue by your own means, it is often advisable to park in the area of Via Pergolesi, or to stop in one of the parking lots in the port area. Menhir is nonetheless just a short walk (about 500 meters) from the "Pozzuoli" station of the Cumana. One kilometer away is the "Pozzuoli" station of Line 2 of the metro. Menhir is registered with Aic, which guarantees maximum safety for celiacs. In addition to this, the menu highlights the dishes that can be offered gluten-free. In this tavern pub, in addition to enjoying classic sandwiches, you can eat typically Sardinian dishes, the vast majority of which are also suitable for celiacs. A paradise for celiacs who can savor everything from bread to dessert, including drinks (there are three gluten-free beers). The venue consists of a single room with welcoming colors. We ate well; the only pity is that having lived many years in Sardinia, I expected something more. Still, they were welcoming and courteous. The place is really nice, as is the choice of music, as well as the creation of the reading corner. I will return with other friends to return the borrowed book.
