Hotel Villa Madonna - Restaurant offers a warm welcome with particular attention to celiacs, providing a varied and quality menu both gluten-free and with gluten. Located in a central and panoramic position, the hotel is equipped with services such as a swimming pool and sauna, and is recommended for a pleasant and safe holiday.

We chose the Villa Madonna because my grandson has celiac disease, but I would recommend it for anyone. Food. The Villa Madonna is heaven for celiacs because the hotel has two kitchens, so that celiacs can eat a GF version of everything served. Moreover, this is gourmet food! with choices like spaetzel in creamy mushroom sauce, or beef tartar with slivers of horse jerky. (These are some extreme examples, but you get the idea.) My grandson went to town on luxurious basics like freshly baked GF bread, but also expanded his palate during the week. Here’s how the food works for hotel guests. For breakfast there are two substantial buffets, one of which is GF. For dinner there is a single antipasto choice and a few choices each for a first and second course. Dessert either has a few choices as well, or is an amazing buffet with a variety of baked goods and lovely fruit (again, there are two buffets, one GF). You make your dinner choices online the night before. At the same time you can order a box lunch to go, if you like. The lunches are good, but are not delivered in insulated containers. So if you plan to bring your lunch with you in a car or on a hike, you need to give some thought to how to keep it fresh. Amenities. Other than the gourmet food, the Villa Madonna is spartan. The rooms have plain wooden furniture and are minimally decorated. There is no air conditioning, although it is not necessary in the mountains; we were comfortable there during the notorious heat wave of 2026. There is an indoor pool, but we never tried it because you have to sign up in advance and wear a bathing cap. (There is a beautiful public outdoor pool in Telfen, just two bus stops away.) In the evening guests congregate in the lobby (with a bar) and the attractive outdoor patio. The hotel has a comfortable family atmosphere; many families bring babies, so fortunately the soundproofing between rooms seems adequate. Location. The hotel is midway between Bolzano and Brixen. It’s a half hour bus ride to Ortisei. The Alpe de Siusi gondola is a 20-minute walk from the hotel, although you will probably get there by bus instead. Transportation. The Villa Madonna has parking, but you don’t need a car because the public transportation is excellent. The hotel is close to the bus station (“Autostazione”) in Siusi, from which you can take buses around the region (e.g. to Bolzano or Ortisei). The short walk to or from the bus station involves a steep hill, but there is a local bus (the 5 or 15) that you can take instead. When you check in you receive an (electronic) pass for the local and regional buses. Google Maps knows about the regional buses, but (unfortunately) not the local buses; however, you can find that information elsewhere online. Schedules are also posted at all bus stops. Staff. The staff are professional and welcoming. We especially appreciated Michele at the front desk, who helped us work out hiking itineraries, and our dining room server Nerina. Activities. I recommend the book “Walking in Italy’s Val Gardena.” We did hikes #1, 3, 14, 18, and 19.

A dream come true. The hotel is very well prepared for gluten-free dining. Both at breakfast and dinner, there are two buffets, one gluten-free and one with gluten, identical, both equipped with cutting boards, grill, sauce dispensers, etc. In addition to the dinner buffets, there are usually appetizers, a first course, and a second course. Gluten-free dishes are identifiable by the symbol to avoid mistakes. The quality of the food is excellent; the gluten-free bread was outstanding. The hotel also has indoor and outdoor heated pools and a sauna, all of which need to be booked. I hope to return soon.

We tried the restaurant, located in the elegant and welcoming setting of the hotel, with exceptional dishes and excellent service. As is known, they are impeccable with gluten-free options (attached are photos of gluten-free canederli and strudel)... highly recommended for celiacs and non-celiacs!
5
Restaurant specialized in gluten-free cuisine. Super dessert table! Very attentive and separate kitchens.

Lunch with 7 people. Everyone very kind, very professional, and the cuisine is truly special at a high level. Perfect for people with celiac disease. Compliments....we will definitely return.

Well, what can I say... if you're celiac like me and want to enjoy a vacation in total relaxation, this is the right place! Of course, the focus is on celiac disease since this facility offers a level of peace that almost no other place provides, but it is enjoyable for anyone. The structure is located in the lovely Siusi, totally immersed in greenery, with a view of the Sciliar. The cleanliness of the entire facility and the rooms is impeccable. The prices are great if you can take advantage of their half-board offers (drinks excluded for dinner) which include a buffet breakfast (both gluten-free and non-gluten) and dinner that consists of 3 or 4 courses plus another buffet. The facility also features an indoor swimming pool, a small outdoor hot tub, and a sauna (accessible by reservation on-site). Upon your arrival, guests are also given the South Tyrol Guest Pass which allows free use of many public transport services throughout South Tyrol. Finally, the staff has always been very kind and helpful. There are just a few small things I would improve, such as having a double bed in double rooms instead of two single beds pushed together, I would upgrade the television in the room, and I would revise the cooking method for some dishes as they were a bit dry or overcooked. Lastly, I would explain better how the self-service laundry works... but these are all things that can be improved. Overall, highly recommended!

Traveling with celiac disease can be difficult so we decided to plan a trip around a hotel offering meals that cater to gluten free diets. We chose Hotel Villa Madonna in Alto Adige and were extremely happy with our week-long stay. It included gluten free half board meals (breakfast & supper, daily) and a free guest pass permitting free travel on all regional transportation in the area. The property was nice, the room comfortable and very clean, and the view spectacular. The supper offerings were varied and tasty, with a few surprises thrown in, to our delight, and safe - thank you to the chef and kitchen! Everyone on staff, at both the hotel and in the restaurant, was friendly and helpful - it felt like we were leaving a few friends behind by the time we left. Gabriele, Roman, and Lara at the front desk made sure we were looked after - and were ever patient with our mix of beginner Italian and English. Although many fantastic servers looked after us in the dining room, Facundo was our main server, always greeting us with a smile, making sure we were happy with every dish on the table, and sharing tips and experiences from his explorations of the region. We definitely recommend this lovely place.

I can only say that it has been a week I will remember forever, everything was excellent from the catering service with delicious gluten-free and lactose-free dishes, to the bar which had wonderful herbal teas, and finally a round of applause for the professionals Gabriele, Lara, Roman, and Angela who were very professional and especially very kind; they made me feel at home. We will definitely come back!!! P.S.: the rooms are a bit old considering the context of the hotel; I hope for a general refresh :)

Great dinner, two kitchens and contamination risk equal to 0 🤩

My dad really liked coming here... He was right! Fantastic and relaxing view. Tasty and varied food for celiacs and non-celiacs. Suitable for children with outdoor games and an internal baby club. And a very nice little pond with two carp that allow themselves to be petted.
5
I booked a dinner for two in July 2025, the experience left us speechless! All dishes were perfect, with a genuine and refined yet traditional taste. The best gluten-free I've ever tried in 12 years. Thank you very much, highly recommended!

Two splendid days, thanks to the wonderful hospitality. Beautiful location, with a lovely garden in front, a playground for children, and a small soccer field. Indoor playroom for kids and a ping pong room. For those who wish, there is also the opportunity to attend the Sunday Mass in the small church in front of the hotel. Beautiful, impeccably clean rooms. Special mention for the cuisine and pastry. They are number one for gluten-free. Dreamy desserts, incredibly good. Well done!
5
Very beautiful and clean structure; the gluten-free kitchen is amazing, very attentive even to those like me, who in addition to celiac disease, have an intolerance to milk proteins and derivatives. The staff is available, very kind and attentive from the one in the hall, at the reception, to the fantastic Chef and the super Pastry Chef. Strategic position to reach any location or service by public transport (Cable car, Town center, Bus station from which buses leave for nearby locations). If I could have, I would have given 10 stars. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

I stayed with my family at Hotel Villa for a summer vacation. I highly recommend this hotel for those like me (celiac) who want to spend a week with peace of mind and carefree regarding food and relaxation. The view under the Sciliar mountain range, the strategic location just 5 minutes by bus from the cable car are strengths of the facility!! We had a great time, and I feel I can recommend the hotel for those like me who want to spend a week of summer vacation!! The suite with a balcony overlooking the Sciliar was a great choice! Spotless day by day! Spacious bathroom, shower with a rain showerhead, top-notch ventilation, and excellent air conditioning in the suite!! I also feel the need to offer some suggestions to improve the service: - Breakfast: croissants absolutely need improvement, as do the chocolate bombettes!! And maybe after 2-3 days, change or partially modify the large selection of products at the buffet (maybe a puff pastry croissant?? A freshly made doughnut?? Or pancakes made on the spot?? Also for the dehydrated fruit, I found always and only kiwi; maybe add dried fruits (almonds, pine nuts, roasted hazelnuts). - The water: at dinner, you charge me for water €2.50, which is fine, but it should be served in a bottle and not in a carafe!! This would also encourage me to order other drinks. - The suite: we stayed in a suite with a bed (small for two people) and a sofa bed (the mattress was really too firm). In the master bedroom, there was no TV! These suggestions, of course, are from my point of view, and no one says they are correct or not!! Recommended +++

Good food but the choice for dinners during the stay is definitely scarce. The saddest service I've ever seen, you have to go ask for the saddest little soaps available on the market and even the toilet paper, which they don't even put in the morning during cleaning. Look elsewhere!!!
5
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The rooms are just what you need if you've been skiing all day - comfy and pleasant. The highlight, without reservation, is the food. As a gluten free person, this is absolutely paradise. What a luxury, to have so much choice! So much safety! I stayed here for a week and every day ate something I'd never had before, without worrying what was in it or asking questions about how it was prepared. Staying here honestly felt like a vacation from coeliac disease, and I would recommend it without any hesitation. The nutella donuts at breakfast were particularly delightful. It's a short bus ride to the slopes, but we found a cute path through town that was only about ~20 mins walk, so most days we walked to the lifts instead, especially as the bus can be busy first thing in the morning and at the end of the day.

Great vacation, very kind and knowledgeable staff. It was truly an idyll for my niece who suffers from celiac disease. She did not give up anything. Excellent accommodation, room with a view of the Sciliar. The cleanliness was well taken care of, and we made good use of the spa area. We highly recommend it...especially for those with celiac disease. We will return!! A warm greeting to all the staff who also made an effort to celebrate my birthday...as a surprise.
5
Great value for money! Delicious gluten-free food with plenty of variety, not to mention the very rich buffet... I definitely recommend it! I will go back.
5
Excellent cuisine, canederli and braised meat cooked for 24 hours to finish with strudel. The hotel is also recommended.
5
Unfortunately, we only had lunch, but the attention and knowledge of celiac disease are exceptional. They have two separate kitchens, so there's no chance of contamination. Everything was delicious!

Hotel Villa Madonna is a great place for families who need a safe gluten-free diet. We stayed there for the second time during this year's carnival holidays as we really enjoyed our time there. However, it seems that the management is not interested in constructive feedback on how to improve communication with guests (adapting website content & informing of changes in costs on arrival). Perhaps the business is doing well without the drive for continuous improvement and customer focus. For us, this is a great deception and it remains to be recommended to explore other options with a more guest friendly attitude.

This structure is a paradise for those suffering from food intolerances. I have never felt so calm eating out: both the hotel staff and the dining personnel are always attentive, prepared, and available, and the dishes are truly excellent. The structure is conveniently located with 3 different parking options: one for loading/unloading luggage, one covered, and one outside. As soon as you enter, a green tea aroma envelops you, accompanied by order, tranquility, and smiles from the staff, who will immediately provide you with a ticket valid for all public transport. The bar service is always open, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Definitely recommended for those with intolerances and others. See you soon!

I had been following him on social media for years, but unfortunately I could never find availability. This year, a dream comes true—a week of stay at the gluten-free facility. It didn't seem real, without giving up anything and especially in total safety. The cuisine was at incredibly high levels, and the staff was friendly, well-prepared, and professional. We will definitely see each other soon! I highly recommend it to all celiacs and non-celiacs as well! Extraordinary location with a wonderful view, well-served by shuttle, covered parking, Sky room on-site, and lockers on the ski slopes!!! A great service as you can easily move from the hotel to the ski slopes!

I have been celiac for over 20 years, and this is one of the best hotels/restaurants I have ever eaten in. The breakfast buffet is amazing, with a wide selection (various cakes, jams, fresh bread, warm croissants, yogurt, and gluten-free cereals). At lunch, you can order takeout sandwiches, and for dinner, the menu is always identical to the traditional one. I have never felt so comfortable. Definitely an inclusive place. All products are of excellent quality, as well as tasty. Strategic location, tastefully furnished surroundings, and a delightful aroma that envelops you as soon as you walk through the entrance. Courteous and welcoming staff. If I have the chance, I will definitely return because places like these deserve to be supported. Thank you so much for your work!
5
Maximum attention for gluten-free. The dessert buffet on Friday evening is a great idea.
5
I only used the restaurant. There is the possibility to eat gluten-free freely, with a wide choice of dishes, both for appetizers, main courses, and second courses. The desserts are excellent. I tried the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms in both gluten-free and gluten versions, and there is no noticeable difference. Exceptional dishes, beautifully plated. The only downside was the not quite fresh gluten bread served. Overall, excellent food, an experience to try again. Prices are average for this type of restaurant.

I spent a week in a room with a balcony and half-board service. This hotel is suitable for people with food intolerances. The facility is clean and welcoming, and there is also a small swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub. The themed or surprise dinners included one dish served buffet-style, unfortunately set up outside under the porch, where there were many flies and bees around the desserts. If they had been served indoors, this inconvenience would have been avoided. Included in the stay is a ticket to use the bus that also takes you to the cable car, which is paid, and then up to Alpe di Siusi.
5
The best hotel where a celiac can stay in the Dolomites! A place to return to every year.
4
The hotel is centrally located with a panoramic view, and it features a small pool and a nice sauna. Our room was quite small but clean and fairly comfortable. The attention to gluten-free guests is excellent, as are the anti-Covid security measures. The staff is polite and always available. The cuisine, both gluten-free and traditional, is varied and of good quality. An ideal place to not feel out of place!
5
We had dinner here one evening and what can I say... Fantastic food, unique, with very generous portions. I recommend trying the beef tartare and the cheese platter because they are a must! The same menu can be requested gluten-free and lactose-free. Honest prices and a welcoming place with young and friendly staff! The only piece of advice I would give is to improve the desserts a bit, just to match the uniqueness of the other dishes.
5
Visited a few years ago. Specialized in the gluten-free sector, perfect location in the center with various walking paths. Many peaks are easily reachable by cable car and/or on foot. I recommend it to everyone. Congratulations to the entire staff for the organization and preparation.
5
A hotel of excellent quality but especially with a high level of attention to food intolerances, equipped with everything needed for families, an indoor playroom, and very beautiful outdoor spaces. Gluten-free menu identical to the gluten menu, double buffet, every 2 evenings a super dessert buffet. It also has a great view of magnificent mountains! Lastly, the staff is very professional and available. For us, it was an unforgettable 4 days! Considering we are not easy clients, with two celiacs, one of whom is a little girl, and only one passionate about mountains, we can say our expectations were exceeded!

Now it has prices almost of a 4-star hotel. Moreover, I don't know who designed the renovation, but the facade is simply horrible now. The characteristic of most buildings in Siusi is that they manage to blend with the surrounding environment; Villa Madonna is an eyesore. The kitchen is of good quality and stands out for offering options attentive to gluten and lactose intolerances. The Comfort rooms are beautiful.
5
Kindness and courtesy in a setting that doesn’t need explanations... excellent cuisine, especially with gluten-free options, where a celiac doesn't have to settle for pre-packaged food but can enjoy fresh dishes and, above all, a great variety of choices.
5
I judge only the restaurant even if the structure seemed equally beautiful to me. The restaurant blends local cuisine with modernity and a touch of the Mediterranean. It is possible to request a completely gluten-free or lactose-free menu. Well done!
5
The Villa Madonna hotel has become the landmark for our family's stays at Alpe di Siusi. Over the years, the hotel has always been renovated for the better: the latest restyling of the reception and hall has shown the management's interest in offering their clientele always something new. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, even towards children who can sometimes be a bit "lively." It's pleasant to see the same faces welcoming you each season (a bit like being with family). The quality of the cuisine is always excellent and varied, even for gluten-free preparations. For meals, celiac guests do not have to settle for "alternative" solutions, as they are offered the same menu as other guests cooked gluten-free. We said goodbye to each other, saying: SEE YOU SOON!!!
5
I stayed at this hotel for only one night, which was enough to convince me to write a highly positive review, recommending it to everyone! We found this hotel through internet browsing with my girlfriend, primarily for the gluten-free factor. It was amazing! They are very well-equipped, providing the same menu for celiacs without any changes, unless you desire personal modifications, of course. Another very important aspect is the presence of a buffet entirely dedicated to gluten-free options and a separate one for non-gluten-free! It was fantastic for my girlfriend, who had never found one anywhere else. Moreover, the quality of both the mentioned dinner and the breakfast buffet was excellent. If you are celiac, this is your paradise! Aside from the gluten-free chapter, I also recommend it to non-celiac individuals because the food quality is really outstanding. Service and hospitality were top-notch as they were very accommodating and kind during our short stay. There is a small spa with a sauna and hot tub available for use, and you can also rent towels and bathrobes if needed. A unique place and an exceptional spot to enjoy the magic of the Dolomites!
5
Very beautiful hotel, located among the mountains, the Alpe di Siusi and the Sciliar, the woods, the animals, truly magnificent. Room is small but has everything needed. Owner and staff are very kind, attentive, and helpful. Excellent food, including gluten-free options, with great attention to any dietary issues.
5
Excellent service, the waiters are ready to meet every guest's request and address any concerns. Great food starting from the buffet where celiacs can choose from many local specialties and not only at dinner, the dishes are plentiful and made with quality products! As for the hotel, the rooms are welcoming, clean, and spacious. You can access the pool and the outdoor hot tub, a true pampering.
5
Fixed stop in our summer holidays. The paradise for celiacs. The boys now want to stay more days to enjoy breakfast too... coming soon. Very kind staff. Until next time....
5
In an excellent position with a view of the San Valentino church. Two separate kitchens, one for gluten-free and lactose-free meals. All menu dishes have a gluten-free version. Family-friendly atmosphere, everyone is very kind and helpful.
5
Elegant restaurant with quality food cooked and presented professionally. All dishes can be made gluten free. We didn't try the hotel, but from what we saw, it is a relaxing and well-kept place. They have their own church inside the structure where they celebrate engaging and intimate masses. For the little ones (but not just them), there is a pen with cute rabbits that live and run happily. Absolutely recommended and worth trying.
5
It was 5 great days in every sense. A 3-star hotel where the services offered and the staff's availability definitely deserved more. Quality gluten-free cuisine and excellent animation for children. I recommend it to everyone.
