Small restaurant/fast food in the center of Ercolano, great location, right in front of the entrance to the Excavations. The place is very simple and rustic, with some tables inside and another 3/4 outside on the avenue. The welcome from the owner was fantastic. The gluten-free offerings include hamburgers, sandwiches, fries, salads, and panna cotta in various flavors. All gluten-free preparations are made in a separate kitchen and with the utmost care! The girl who served us was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and explained very well what the menu options were and how everything was free from contamination. Prices are perfectly in line: about €20 per person for a sandwich, fries, drink, and dessert/liquor/coffee.

We chose this place right after visiting the ruins of Herculaneum, attracted by its simplicity! Welcomed by the owner's wife, a smiling and kind girl, and the owner himself, who was equally friendly and helpful! I ordered a Caprese with buffalo mozzarella, gluten-free fries (they were very attentive since I am celiac), and a lemon delight without gluten and lactose, followed by a hamburger with sangria and an Aperol spritz, and coffee. I highly recommend for celiacs as they also offer sandwiches and burgers. Everything was delicious! Quick service, great price! Highly recommended!

The kindness and availability of the staff are top-notch. The kitchen prepares excellent food and we were able to eat gluten-free as well. I would return to Ercolano just to visit Burger Vi.P. 😋

Fabulous, family-run, good value for money with genuine products; they also prepare spaghetti, pasta, and lasagna with Neapolitan sauces; gluten-free bread is available... Alessandro and Simonetta, motorcyclists from Vicenza, along with their friends Raffaello and Anna... a must-try!!!
