This below was my five-star review, today I modify it because it is impossible for them to celebrate a birthday with few people, asking for a one-kilo cake with chocolate sponge because "too small for one batch." So one is forced to invite random people to have a birthday cake and be their customer, for charity!! I have always ordered one-kilo chocolate sponge cakes, it’s the first time I feel answered like this by a pastry shop. Absurd, what humiliation. ----------------- --- old review: In Lamezia they call them "baci di dama," in all of Italy they are "Maddalene." They are super delicious! One negative note, for my taste, the amount of sugar should be reduced. They are too sweet. For the rest, good quality of products and the welcoming of the staff. A nice discovery. --- ---------------------- Response: I NEVER talked about centimeters, nor has she ever talked about it, she wrote here to imply that I was making absurd requests; I needed the cake to be a lower weight but I requested one kilogram, just to avoid ordering "a slice of cake" as she writes now; I asked her for a "chocolatey cake" and she, as the ONLY solution (and not as she writes, "every proposal," implying there were many), replied that the chocolate could only be put in the writing... Therefore, completely away from my request, not coming close at all; I never wrote that you wanted to force me to take a big cake only that, 2+2= 4 and it wasn’t possible to order a 1 kg cake; Don’t worry that you will only lose customers who celebrate their birthday with a few people and want a chocolate cake, so, you will only lose me; I’m almost an hour’s drive from you, I would have made the kilometers; I find it difficult to understand why a white cake of 1 kg yes, one of chocolate no but I think it would have been the same for the white one, if I had accepted white, then the problem of the baking would have arisen; Yes, it is humiliating not to be able to order a 1 kg cake and hypothetically, for you, it would have a cost, as I have now discovered is 40.00 euros; You should specify in the info then that you only make cakes as large as your oven!!

Even from the phone reservation, one could sense a hostile attitude; without going into details, it was clear that the initial approach was not refined. All in all, the food was quite good.

This is not the first cake I order here and it has never disappointed me! The taste of the creams and the texture of the sponge cake are among the best I have ever tried. For this reason, we traveled from CZ all the way to Lamezia. All the guests commented that it didn't seem gluten-free. The price per kg is very honest! As for the decoration, it wasn't an easy cake to make; it had a few small imperfections (the white half was larger, the black writing was bigger, and there was no white icing division) but for me, who is a perfectionist, overall it was as I had requested. The lady who answered the phone and took my order was very kind and patient, she listened carefully to everything I asked and we found solutions together for some issues that arose during the conversation. I'm very thankful for the beautiful and delicious cake for my 30th birthday.

Discovered by chance, as a tourist I was looking for a place to enjoy fresh and tasty gluten-free foods... Really good products from sweet to savory... Tasting typical gluten-free dishes is truly a dream for us poor unfortunate ones... it doesn't happen easily! Thank goodness it exists, in Calabria for those with celiac disease it's a disaster. Good gluten-free bread, pastries, and fresh pasta - a paradise for those with celiac disease. I recommend it.

Welcoming and well-stocked venue. I give 4 stars only because there was a strong smell of frying when we entered, and we preferred to have breakfast outside, which was served politely and fairly quickly. There are products both gluten-free and with gluten. Recommended.

The fresh products are all excellent, and you barely notice the difference from the glutenous ones. I didn't give 5 stars because yesterday I ordered some items over the phone, and today when I went to pick up the order, it didn't exist, so I was left without it.

You can find not only bread, bread rolls, breadsticks, baguettes, pizza, fried foods, but also desserts, each one better than the last... You can hardly notice the difference compared to those with gluten.. I have already complimented the owners, who are always very kind....

A family-run business 👩🍳, the daily production of products meets all the needs of those with celiac disease: from breakfast with stuffed croissants and coffee, to lunch with bread and pasta, and dinner with pizzas, focaccias, sandwiches, calzones... But there's more: thanks to the presence of the pastry shop, there's also a rich assortment of sweets and cakes for all tastes! 😋 We had the pleasure of tasting the latter, and the difference with gluten-containing desserts is nonexistent: the textures, flavors, the crunchiness of the pastry of the cannoli, the softness of the baci di dama... If we were to try these sweets with our eyes closed 🙈, we wouldn't realize they are gluten-free 🤷.
