A person couldn't ask for a more pleasant stay. The decor is lovely, the room is spacious and comfortable. The food is fantastic and the staff is wonderfully friendly and make you feel very at home. Malcolm took great care of us and even gave us a ride to the train station when we left. I can't recommend this place enough, especially to anyone who has gluten issues. Everything on their menu is gluten free. I hope we can return here on a future trip.

Incredible! We stayed for three nights over a long weekend and were just delighted by the food, the cozy vibes, the location, and the kindness of the staff. The food is excellent, just the sort of hearty meals you’d want after a day of walking along any of the nearby trails. They were even willing to prepare a packed lunch for us so we didn’t have to stress out about finding food on the go (an absolute lifesaver on the train ride home)! The carvery was a real treat - the gluten free Yorkshire puddings were to die for. And dog friendly to boot! A truly wonderful experience.
