Great experience, recommended to us as totally gluten free by the owner’s brother who has a cafe that does gluten free churros, and we were not disappointed. First time I’ve been able to have a gluten free fritura de pescado for 3 years and OMG it was probably the best I ever had, compared to even before I had to go gluten free. The fish was so fresh and so good, the batter was so light and crispy, the chips were crunchy crisp and there was so much food, but they did give us boxes to take away what was left, 3 boxes so we could separate it all. It’s great not to waste food. We ate it next day and it was still tasting good. The servers were so nice and friendly and helpful. Told me not to worry when I told them all my dietary issues, that’s very rare in Roquetas, I’m usually told you can only have “a la plancha”. They brought me gluten free bread and we had limoncello slush on the house. Very good value for money for the quality and amount of food but please don’t put the prices up too much 🙏🙏 because that’s what seems to be happening in Roquetas lately because it’s becoming so popular and the people who live here are being priced out. This is a nice location near to the beach and near to the big Thursday market, shopping centre and theatre and the temperature inside was comfortable on a very hot day. Can’t wait to return to try their Zarzuela gluten free, another favourite dish I haven’t been able to eat for 3 years. Thanks to everyone here for their kindness, friendliness, warmth and helpfulness. And what a gem of a find in Roquetas, gluten free food (apart from grilled meat) is hard to find here. I also recommend that they clearly advertise their gluten free menu and that they will assist with other food allergies, we would not have known about this unless we had been told by the gluten free churros cafe
