First time visiting here and we all enjoyed it. There was 4 in our group. My partner is gluten free and we chose here due the separate gluten free menu on offer, so there was a greater choice for her. Staff were welcoming and very polite. The meals were amazing. Highly recommended.

Red Onion was, without a doubt, the most memorable and delicious evening of our four-night stay in Glasgow. As there was a coeliac at our table, we ordered everything gluten-free apart from dessert, and the experience was flawless throughout. We started with the French Onion Soup, which was truly excellent—rich, comforting, and full of depth. Portions at the restaurant are very generous, making it perfect for sharing. Everything looked so good that I completely forgot to take photos, which says a lot in itself. Next, we ordered the Crispy Goat’s Cheese Salad with candy beetroot, radish, tomato chutney, and truffle honey. Our server (we were looked after by more than one person, and every single one of them was incredibly kind and attentive) asked whether we wanted it as a main. We chose to keep it as a side—and immediately regretted not ordering it as a main. It was that good. Still unforgettable. A must-try. Proof that a salad can be absolutely outstanding. We also shared the Wild Mushroom Risotto, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavour, and the 8oz Scotch dry-aged fillet, cooked perfectly and paired with a pepper sauce that we absolutely loved. On the side, we had onion rings, which were simply fantastic. To finish, I had the vanilla cheesecake (not gluten-free), while the table also ordered an affogato (gluten-free), and it was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal. Huge thanks to the entire team for such a wonderful experience. If I ever find myself back in Glasgow, I’ll definitely be returning here—no question about it.
