I visited Bistrot Richelieu for dinner during a recent trip to Paris; my overall experience was a mixed bag. The interior was fairly nice and comfortable, giving a more relaxed, casual vibe, which I liked. The allergen knowledge was good. I was given a laminated card which showed the allergens in their dishes. My server was also friendly and had good knowledge of which dishes could and could not be made gluten-free, including those from the specials, which were not listed on the card. Gluten-Free options were limited, but I felt safe eating here nonetheless. For my food, I went for the Chicken Supreme with Ratatouille. My food was pretty good; the chicken had nice flavours and went well with the ratatouille. A small part of the chicken was slightly chewy, and I did find the ratatouille to get boring after a while, as it was mainly courgette. I would have preferred maybe half the ratatouille and maybe another side dish with potatoes. Pricing was similar to anywhere else in the city, which isn’t a cheap city for sure. I had a Limoncello Spritz to drink; they did bring the drinks after the food, and I would have liked them at the same time, but this wasn’t a big deal. It was made well and tasted good after stirring. Overall, I would return, mainly due to the quality of drinks and service, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
