Loulou | Senza glutine a Paris

As a family traveling with a little coeliac dude we have had a bit of a job to find suitable places for dining for him. When we found Loulou we knew we had to give it a try - and it most definitely did not disappoint. Initially we had a bit of a wait as it was a Saturday evening and we had not thought to make a booking. But our patience was rewarded and were greeted and seated by wonderfully warm staff. Our little gluten free dude was beyond excited to be able to order his favourite beloved chicken burger and chips (thanks to their kitchen being so accommodating), with no worries about cross-contamination as the majority of the menu is gluten free and those that aren’t have possible substitutes across most. Hubby, I and our little miss were craving stock standard faves from back home so we ordered the Chicken Burger, Pork Ribs and the kids sized Chicken Strips with chips. All were fantastic - and the kids meals included a drink and a dessert which was a huge winner. In passing with our server we mentioned a bit of an unfortunate hiccup we had during our day and they so generously provided a little cheer up for us which was so appreciated and kind - a sign of true hospitality. We cannot recommend this fab little establishment enough, their food and hospitality have been a highlight of our visit to Paris so far. This little Aussie gluten-free family would give this 20 stars if we could.

Ho scoperto LouLou nell'ultimo giorno del mio viaggio a Parigi e avrei voluto scoprirlo prima! Praticamente l'intero menù può essere reso senza glutine e avevo molte opzioni; se fossi rimasto più a lungo, mi sarebbe piaciuto tornare per provare molti piatti. Alla fine, ho scelto fish and chips. La posizione è a pochi passi da Notre Dame e dal Pantheon, con accesso alla metro nelle vicinanze, ma vale sicuramente la pena fare un viaggio speciale per visitarlo, specialmente se sei senza glutine. Il cibo era davvero buono, super gustoso e fresco, la pastella era croccante e il pesce di ottima qualità. L'insalata era buona, specialmente con il condimento, e mi sono piaciuti anche i piselli schiacciati che hanno elevato il piatto. La porzione era un po' piccola, soprattutto considerando il prezzo, ma ho apprezzato il mio cibo. Ho trovato questo posto un po' caro, con il mio pasto che è costato €30, c'era anche una piccola tassa per il pagamento tramite codice QR, quindi ho scelto di pagare con una cameriera invece. Per la mia bevanda, ho scelto il tè freddo all'arancia. Non ero un grande fan di questo perché era leggermente amaro, ma era fresco e guarnito con un generoso pezzo di limone. Il personale era cordiale, anche se avrei voluto che ripetessero senza glutine per sentirmi più sicuro e rilassato a mangiare qui. L'atmosfera complessiva era piuttosto confortevole e rilassata; aveva un'aria informale ma con cibo di alta qualità.

Lots of gluten free options, some dairy/lactose free options also. Great atmosphere and conveniently located near Notre Dame. Coffee was very good! My husband had the eggs Benedict which was good. My banana bread was rather dry but otherwise tasty. Açai bowl was good, but just tasted like banana.
