Wonderful Varenna... but do you know what the most beautiful thing is? The Riva ice cream shop. The real gluten-free artisanal gelato... so delicious... I tasted all the flavors and none is better than the other... but the Riva ice cream shop is not amazing just for its gelato but also for the friendliness and warmth of the staff... I had the pleasure of talking to the owner Duilio and I understood why the gelato is so good... because it’s made with passion and love... with his stories, he makes you travel in your mind, each flavor has a wonderful story... I recommend it not just for the gelato but for everything that the Riva ice cream shop offers... A corner of happiness in Varenna 🥰 Federica

The owner is casual, friendly, and kind; the ice cream is excellent and you can feel the craftsmanship (fig flavor is top-notch!), the prices are more than fair considering the location on the greenway and the rising energy costs they are facing. As someone with celiac disease, I greatly appreciated the attention to avoiding contamination! I can only give five well-deserved stars!!!
