We went in many, with a celiac friend in the group, and I must say that the experience was truly special. If you visit Pizzo for the first time, you absolutely cannot miss tasting the famous Tartufo di Pizzo: the one from Gelateria Ercole is the original, authentic, and inimitable. Besides the classic, there are also various delicious variants. And the real surprise? All the "original" Tartufi from Gelateria Ercole are gluten-free! 😍 Tasting a Tartufo or an artisanal ice cream while seated in the beautiful and lively Piazza della Repubblica is a pleasure that alone is worth the visit. Before leaving, I couldn’t resist: I also took home a gluten-free brioche to make the breakfast of the next day special 🤗. One detail that really makes a difference for me: Gelateria Ercole adheres to AIC. Those who know me know that I consider this commitment an enormous value, which alone deserves an extra star for the responsible attention and care with which celiac customers are welcomed.

Bar located in the central square of Pizzo Calabro, really welcoming and friendly staff. A big thanks to the owner who guided us directly from the highway, also offering us coffee upon our arrival. Superlative tartufo with a UNIQUE taste. Possibility to have it gluten-free, for the two coeliacs at home. I recommend parking in the lot at the top of the square, and in just 5 minutes you will find yourself in the square. Excellent.

Places in the main square of Pizzo, in a beautiful location near a panoramic terrace. Informed Aic, gluten-free granitas, truffles, and brioche col tuppo are available, even to be filled with ice cream. It may happen that not all ice cream flavors are available gluten-free, as the manager, with great caution, only offers those that are currently in new tubs, not yet contaminated by cones. It's nice to find places that offer these products for celiacs as well.
