We traveled a long way to reach this place to have the chance to eat something gluten-free, as the city of Cologne is very lacking in commercial activities that can cater to people with this kind of food intolerance. Given the lack of competition in the area, it should be making billions. We waited in line for 20 minutes to get something since the staff was very, very slow and disorganized—almost thrown together, I would say—I was getting impatient and was about to leave. While waiting, I noticed that there was a table available for two, and in the meantime, I sat down to secure it since there was no sign indicating it was reserved. After waiting in line, they told us that to go to the table, we needed to reserve directly from the table, so an attendant came right away. We had just started to have our breakfast when suddenly we were told we had to leave because the table was reserved and that we should have asked them first to accommodate us. But at least put a sign up! I have no idea about your corporate policies and internal reasoning. I quickly grabbed my tea with the lady who was looking at me with her crooked ribbon and apologized to those who had reserved. Bad luck, as we say in my country. Better to go buy something at the supermarket and eat it on the street. We left wearing jackets that smelled like food because the ventilation in the place is terrible. Very expensive: two muffins, a tea, and a cinnamon pastry for €15.70, and we left hungry.

Delicious food that I strongly recommend even to those who are not gluten intolerant. I would reconsider the behavior of the waiters, who joke by throwing subtle insults.

The place is wonderful and the food is really delicious, with many vegan and lactose-free options in addition to gluten-free. The problem is that it is always very crowded. The staff is clearly under stress and at some point forgets kindness and respect. I seriously do not recommend going on Saturdays.

I was very excited about the Pasticceria Isabella in Cologne! I was particularly impressed by the wide selection of gluten-free and vegan delicacies, all made with love and high-quality organic ingredients. The sweet and savory baked goods, bread, and tarts are not only beautiful to look at but also taste delicious. The vegan offerings are diverse and perfect for those who need to avoid gluten or want to follow a plant-based diet. The atmosphere is cozy, and the team is dedicated. A true paradise for everyone who suffers from intolerances or conscious diets! You must try it!

Every time I'm in Cologne, I can't wait to try the tarts. Since I can't tolerate regular milk, I'm even more excited that they're vegan. They all taste so good. Absolute recommendation from me! 😋

Unfortunately, we had to grab some takeout food without being able to stop and enjoy breakfast on-site. The place was completely reserved on Saturday morning. For being one of the few gluten-free spots in Cologne, it’s a real shame for travelers. Really good gluten-free muffins, hard to find better ones.

Great option for breakfast or brunch with a wide range of breakfast dishes. I will definitely stay for dessert as well. Make sure to book in advance because seating is limited, but the atmosphere is fantastic, not too tight or crowded. Perfect for everyone, gluten-free or not.

Entirely gluten-free locale, very good and lovely. It was full, so we ate outside, but the experience was still pleasant. For 1 American coffee, 1 tea, 1 single portion dessert, 1 vegan sandwich, 1 seed sandwich, 1 cheese brioche, and 1 cheese sandwich, we spent €26.60; not cheap but appropriate for the offer! The food was very good, the sandwich was served hot and was delicious!
