I ordered a gluten-free pizza without cheese with capers & olives for takeout (self-pickup). I know there are excessive surcharges for gluten-free dough (here €4), but I was also charged €4.40 for capers and olives, so I paid €17.40 for the pizza shown. Unfortunately, it's absolutely disproportionate, but the gluten-free pizza dough was good.

We spontaneously went to Peperino to eat with our dog and were thoroughly impressed. Particularly noteworthy is the great gluten-free offering for people with celiac disease. There are gluten-free pizza, gluten-free risotto, and many other delicious dishes – there is something for everyone. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the entire staff was nice and accommodating. Our food was excellent and was served in a reasonable time despite the spontaneous visit. A special plus: our dog was offered fresh water right upon arrival. This thoughtfulness made us very happy. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

First of all, the most important thing is that in 2026, in a city like Cologne, it seems strange to me that credit cards are not accepted here even in restrooms, while they are accepted elsewhere. Moreover, the prices are excessively high, and frankly, you do not get a corresponding value in terms of taste or service. The 38 euros we paid here made us unhappy. The pizzas were bland, as if instead of real pizza dough, they just poured tomato sauce over a regular bread dough and topped it with ingredients. If you pay such a high amount for a pizza, you expect a truly delicious one. The staff was friendly and attentive, thank you.

Gluten-free pizza at Peperino is simply super delicious (& also suitable for celiacs with awareness of contamination in a mixed kitchen). The service is always friendly and nice. The atmosphere of the place also reflects a mix of restaurant with a cozy and friendly pub feel. The outdoor terrace invites you to observe the bustling city life while enjoying good food or to relax with a good drink to end the evening. Top and definitely would come back!

By far the tastiest gluten-free pizza I've had outside of Italy 🤗 My mother had tagliatelle (gluten-containing) with vegetables and gorgonzola sauce and was also excited. Highly recommend 🥂

It is very very delicious every time, we will definitely come back. Very friendly staff, you just feel completely comfortable, especially in the evening it's very cozy with a nice atmosphere. The gluten-free pizzas are made so well that you can't taste any difference. Everything is very appetizing and the prices are totally reasonable and appropriate.

We had lunch here yesterday as it advertised as having gluten free options. It offered GF pizza, beer and risotto. I had the risotto which was piping hot and flavoursome. The regular salami pizza was well received by my boyfriend. I would recommend this restaurant. The location is not far from the river and on the Hop on/off bus route, so it is handy for tourists.

Beautiful ambiance, the service was great, and the staff were super nice! The pizza is tasty, but it doesn’t blow you away. My boyfriend, who had a gluten-free pizza, also found his good. The Hugo Sprizz was really delicious! One small critique: the knives could be sharper. I’d love to come back :)

Gluten-free delicious pizza and very kind host! I love the sweet gluten-free pizza with goat-cheese and honey or pear, walnuts and honey, also gluten-free dessert, simply splendid to have a place like this in Cologne!
