Pizzeria Il Veliero is located by the harbor and offers carefully crafted cuisine with an excellent quality-price ratio. The staff is kind and attentive, and the availability of gluten-free options, including pasta by reservation, pizza, and a fantastic mixed fried dish made with rice flour, makes it ideal for those with food intolerances.

A location on the port by the seaside. Well-kept, friendly and attentive staff, availability of gluten-free pasta upon reservation. Always available: appetizers, main courses (including a FANTASTIC mixed fried dish with rice flour for everyone) and gluten-free pizza (with lactose-free mozzarella). The pizza is also delicious, thin, soft, and edible (even the crust!) until the end! Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.

We were here for dinner and it's important to ask if there are time slots. Usually, they have two for dinner from 7:30 PM to 9:20 PM (the second shift starts at 9:30 PM). Honestly, due to our mistake (we had chosen the 7:30 PM slot) and arriving at 7:45/7:50 PM, we cut into those 15/20 minutes. At 9:15 PM, we were politely invited to hurry up and leave our table for 5 people as there were others waiting for the second shift... That said, the dishes were generous and cooked perfectly, nothing to complain about, it was excellent... The waiters are quick, kind, and attentive. The tables are outside (covered) and inside with air conditioning... The Veliero is both a pizzeria and a restaurant. We have been frequenting the Veliero for many years, and in our opinion, it maintains its standard, which is no small feat, always with excellent menus. It's also suitable for people with gluten intolerance.

On the evening of our departure from Calasetta, we decided to have dinner out quickly with pizzas and first courses. Various relatives recommended this place, and we decided to go there! The staff was very friendly, and even the owner assisted us warmly. I recommend, for anyone with hungry kids, to arrive a little before opening time and order right away: the place fills up in minutes! (for those arriving later, the waiting time for the first course seemed to be around 15-20 minutes). We ordered two first courses for the kids and two pizzas for the adults. Having a celiac among us, we tried the gluten-free pizza accompanied by gluten-free Peroni! The pizza was quite good! The gluten pizza was stellar. We noticed that many customers were ordering takeout pizza, and we understood why they were so numerous! 2 first courses, one with fish sauce 2 pizzas with toppings 1 side of french fries 1 gluten-free beer TOTAL 60€ We will definitely return, maybe even getting takeout!
