We went to the Amalfi Rooftop pop up tonight. Everything was excellent and Jorge R. was our waiter. He was fantastic. He was very thorough with our order making sure to ask about allergies and helped us with our gluten free options. He was very knowledgeable with the menu and the bar. The food was amazing and the meloncello was great! The ambience was amazing on the rooftop. Such a nice time.

Stopped by Eataly because it was super close to our hotel and we enjoyed the one in lower Manhattan. Went to the pizza + pasta restaurant inside because of the reviews for gluten free pizza were so good. My wife has celiac, so I love any time I can get her good pizza. I won’t lie, the GF crust was delicious and the food was ultimately safe although they made no promises to not cross contaminate (understandable)—everything else was very mid. Service was just okay. We ordered GF cacio e pepe and it was some of the worst pasta either of us have ever had. Bland, watery, and unappetizing. We could have done 10x better at home for 1/10 the price. We also got dessert afterward. Her gelato was good but my tiramisu was almost inedible. Lukewarm, foamy, and barely any flavor. Forgot to take a pic of it. Anyway, this place is hit or miss. Probably won’t return.
