Kind, lovely and generous owners. The lady behind the counter blew us away with her kindness. The bread is delicious- don’t feel like I’m missing out.

I went to the bakery on Friday and literally everything I bought was amazingly tasty. I’ve been a coeliac for over 15 years and it was the best bread in the sandwich I have tasted. Also had a brownie and a pastry for the next day. Just delicious, the owner and actually another regular customer went out of their way to help me in English explaining what everything was. Thank you so much 🌸

Fantastic service and a great range of gluten free products. Yummy local seasonal cakes. Highly recommend whether you are coeliac or not.

Every major town should have a gluten free bakery like Glutenfrei Köstlichkeiten. I gladly made a detour to buy from their delicious cakes, pastries and bread. When the weather is nice you could order and taste directly on the small terrace. Although most customers are local, this would definitely be a recommended stop for international visitors to Basel who have coeliac disease or follow a gluten free diet. Parking could be an issue if you don’t have a local permit, but for a quick purchase you might be able to park on the premise. A direct tram (Line 6) to the city center stops close to the bakery.

I bought a walnut loaf last week for an out-of-town guest. Not only did it look like 'real bread,' my guest said it was the best crust she had had in 20 years. Kathrin is lovely and the cafe is well worth a visit.
