A late review from many years ago! Here I spent my first vacation as a celiac at the age of 7. Now, after 18 years, I still remember it as the paradise for celiacs.

A slightly outdated hotel but well-maintained and clean. Friendly staff. I requested gluten-free options and they accommodated me both for breakfast and dinner. Dinner was excellent and plentiful. Great location for trekking and biking.

My family and I stayed at the Hochalm apartment for two weeks, enjoying breakfast and the pool at the Griesfeld hotel. We were immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the apartment and the kindness of the reception staff, who provided us with everything needed for our stay (bed linen, towels, kitchen towels, and soaps included)... kindness that was reaffirmed in the following days by the waiters who served us breakfast. For gluten-free guests, they provide a basket of packaged gluten-free products (including, for example: toast, snacks, biscuits, muesli, etc...) and heat croissants and rolls in the oven (products purchased frozen). The location of the hotel and apartment is ideal for reaching numerous tourist spots (Riva waterfalls, Predoi mines, Campo Tures castle, etc...). I would also add that the hotel provided us with the South Tyrol Guest Pass to use public transport in South Tyrol for free.

Perfect camera, spacious bathroom, and everything very clean. From the little balcony, a spectacular view. Owner and staff were kind and friendly, always ready to assist with any request. They even gave us information about the area, according to the weather conditions. Note to mention: the cuisine was absolutely exquisite! We chose the half-board option. For dinner, a rich and varied buffet, followed by a typical menu, including a gluten-free option that was literally identical to the one with gluten. The gluten-containing breakfast was delicious, but the gluten-free one was even more amazing: fresh croissants, cakes, and bread. Not a minor thing. We will see each other again soon!

We stayed for 10 days with the family and we had a great time. Congratulations to the managers, who were very friendly. Thorough cleanliness everywhere. Excellent cuisine (also gluten-free). Perfect location for those staying in the Ahrntal Valley. Games for children available like trampolines, ping pong, etc.

Small family-run hotel in a beautiful and tranquil place. The owners are always available and kind. Rooms are spotless. Excellent and abundant food. Even my daughter, who is celiac, had no problems. They are very attentive. In the morning, she had the opportunity to have sandwiches prepared for her, so she wouldn't have issues during excursions. Additionally, she was able to bring her beloved dog. Very good. We hope to return.

We discovered this hotel a couple of years ago, a bit hesitant since the previous year we had a terrible experience. We were positively impressed, the hotel is a typical mountain structure like many others but the managers are very nice and kind, the food is excellent, despite being celiac they maintained the exact same menu served to others for me. There is the possibility of having gluten-free sandwiches prepared for lunch in case of excursions to ensure there is no contamination. For us, it was a wonderful experience and for once I didn't feel ill even once during 8 days of vacation. I would say it's an excellent place and I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I have been going to this hotel since 1995 and it is... now a landmark... You can feel the homely atmosphere. The food is excellent and the service impeccable, even for celiacs. Guests are always pampered... by the managers.

Comfortable and very clean rooms, although a bit dated. Attentive service and excellent cuisine, great for those with celiac disease as well. Wide selection for breakfast. Phisiotherm cabins (infrared) available in the pool/sauna area. A hotel to return to.
