I am from Bari and we came to L'Aquila for some errands. Being celiac, I checked the reviews of this place and they encouraged me to try it. I had a savory piadina with sausage, roasted potatoes, and other ingredients; it was delicious. After visiting several places offering street food, upon arriving in the central square of L'Aquila, we were struck by this piadineria that has nothing to envy to those from Romagna! Great gluten-free piadina, the dough is homemade and I have always found it excellent. They have a separate station for gluten-free preparation, and the cooks do not move from one station to another. The wait times are a bit long during peak hours, but the safety they provide is worth it. The staff is very kind and friendly, I recommend!!

We ate at Piadì on Saturday and Easter Sunday 2024. We found the place while looking for a restaurant with gluten-free options for our daughter. We met Giuseppe, the very kind host, who guided us to discover the flavors of his piadinas. We ate exceptional savory and sweet piadinas in a beautiful location in the main square of the city. We left our hearts there. Before leaving, we asked Massimo and the attentive staff of his place to open a piadineria in our city, where there are several, but none at the level of Piadì.

I stumbled upon this place in Piazza Duomo a couple of weeks ago: a craft piadineria. I never liked piadina, but this place has been my exception! Fresh and quality products, unique and pleasant flavors, and there are also options without gluten and lactose with a wide choice of savory and sweet. It's now a must-stop every time I return to L'Aquila. The staff is very kind and friendly. Giuseppe, the owner, is nice, helpful, and always with a smile. What can I say, until next time for sure.

Special mention also goes to the sweet piadine. An absolutely recommended place for both the food and the charisma of the owner and his staff, who made us feel like family.

We often eat at Giuseppe's: in summer at the outdoor tables, in winter in the colorful interior, during lockdown for takeout... now it feels like family, always available and kind... the piadinas are generously filled and tasty, special mention to the delicious dough and especially thank you for the completely gluten-free menu, our celiac child finally has a place to eat in peace thanks to the separate kitchen!!

Great piadina even gluten-free! The best I've ever had! Given my celiac condition, it had been a while since I experienced the thrill of eating street food! The owners are very kind and friendly, the prices are fair for the high quality of the products, and the place is very welcoming! Highly recommended! I hope they open in Rome too!
