Disappointed for this brunning and price pub. We make a point to visit b&p pubs as they're gluten free friendly for coeliacs. We came for a Sunday roast and was excited to know they had gluten free Yorkshire puddings however when our food arrived (60 mins later), lamb was dry, potatoes were rock hard and dry, and the cauliflower cheese tasted and felt like it had been microwaved to the point where any liquid 'cheese' had evaporated and the meal had barely any gravy. Had to request extra just to eat. In fairness the staff offered a new plate however after we waited so long I was ravenous and would have eaten a scabby horse. As an apology the staff offered a complimentary creme brulee each. My husbands arrived and looked gorgeous, my gluten free one arrived however was saturated in water when tapped. We tipped it and tonnes of water came out. We were told a new batch was made and this hadn't been left long enough to set. Thankfully they removed my lamb dinner from the bill, however tried to charge for one of the 'complimentary' creme brulees. Was a very disappointing dinner from a chain we trust so much! The pub itself looked lovely, however had some issues with other patrons causing a lot of noise etc but this can't be helped and wasn't an issue for us, was just the food quality!!!!
