We met family here on Sunday night for dinner. The food was delicious - I had the fig and walnut salad with chargrilled chicken which was super tasty. My family ordered the steak pies and a lamb roast, all of which were very nice and generous portions. We chose to sit in the bar area for a more relaxed setting. There were a lot of children running around the dining area - if you’re wanting a quieter atmosphere, it might be better later in the evening or in the restaurant itself. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service was good. The pub/restaurant was able to cater for my dietary requirements and in fact had a vast gluten free menu. I would highly recommend The Grumpy Mole for a high quality pub meal in a relaxed and cosy setting.
