I usually go on Gluten free day, the chap in charge is excellent really takes pride never had better gluten free batter!! Just wish it wasn’t gluten free just once a week

I’ve always loved The Codfather, but I can no longer consider it safe as a gluten-free coeliac. During my visit last Monday, the “gluten-free” fish was placed alongside regular cod and handled with the same tongs. This is a serious cross-contamination issue, and unfortunately I became “glutened” as a result, with all the pain and disruption that causes. I’m really disappointed, as this used to be a reliable option. I tried contacting the shop to discuss the problem but haven’t been able to reach anyone. I hope they review their processes so that coeliacs can dine safely again as their food is delicious.
