Notre thé de l'après-midi a été une expérience exceptionnelle. Nous n'étions pas préparés à tous les petits plus que nous avons reçus. Notre serveur du Brésil était compétent et patient. Les sandwichs étaient exquis et savoureux. Les scones étaient chauds et délicieux, surtout avec une généreuse cuillerée de leur confiture spéciale dessus ! Mon intolérance a été prise en compte lors de l'assemblage des desserts pour nous. Yum ! La plus belle attention a été qu'un jeune homme au bureau s'est donné la peine d'entrer dans le magasin fermé pour me vendre un peu du thé que nous avons consommé parce que le magasin était fermé. Nous avons aussi reçu un sac Woof Woof de nos desserts à emporter ! Merci !!

Claridges will always offer one of the best afternoon teas in the city! If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, this is the place. Not our first so we already had a level of expectation. You need to book well in advance even in ‘non peak times’ to ensure you can secure your table. The setting is light, cosy and familiar with the pianist playing in the background along the good chatter of guests. The staff are welcoming, friendly and ever so accommodating. There are several afternoon teas menus (tea only, with champagne, veggie etc) and pretty much all dietaries can be met with the afternoon teas still to a high standard (be being gluten and lactose). The special dietary afternoon teas also don’t look completely different or ‘lower standard’ like some places. The sandwiches Aren’t different or unique compared to other establishments. Here you get a solid classical tea offering which are delicious and of course with the option to keep going for more (you aren’t restricted to the one serving!). The scones so fresh and delicious and the cakes were just 👌🏽🤌🏽 Often I find afternoon tea cakes to be too sickly, too sweet and often too much. But these were perfect. Our waiter was lovely, and he came with a small offering for my mums birthday too. It’s such a relaxing environment. Almost like sitting at home in your living room. On this occasion we visiting during the same week as Chelsea flower show and to make it extra special all guests were gifts a small flower in a ceramic pot (such a nice surprise) Will always choose Claridges and would always recommend. It’s such a special place.
