Fantastic family run Ryokan with a three different Onsen (one of them open air and particularly beautiful). First of all, everything was very clean and our room unexpectedly had a private toilet + sink. The food was amazing and best of all for me, they were able to accommodate for celiacs i.e. strictly gluten free diet. I communicated about my requirements ahead of my stay via booking.com and although their English is limited, with the help of Google translate we managed. The food was delicious (my photos don't do it justice), varied and I felt perfectly safe as a celiac eating here, no signs of cross contamination in my case. Our tatami mat room was super spacious for two people, and we slept well on the futon, although for our soft western backs it took a little getting used to as they are harder than a hotel mattress. They offered both breakfast and dinner to book in advance and pay in cash. Short walking distance from the train station, was manageable for us with a big suitcase each.
