What a great find! Absolutley amazing restaurant, a great concept, loved the history behind it. Beautifully decorated food was so good! 2 Coeliacs in our family, staff couldn't have been more helpful and offered so much choice for them. It was so good we've booked again before we head home! I feel quite reasonably priced too. Highly recommend 💫

We visited Platform yesterday for a Sunday lunch and ended up having 3 courses! Every single thing was absolutely delicious, and as someone with dietary requirements (I'm gluten free) I didn't feel left out at all. I even had a Yorkshire pud with my roast beef! We had: Whipped goats curd starter - absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The perfect light starter before a roast. Cured trout mosaic starter - again, beautifully plated with exceptional flavours that are quite unusual to find in West Dorset, like yuzu gel! For our mains, we both had roast beef which came with plenty of veg and the flavour of the beef itself was the best we've ever had out. The pan jus added the perfect savoury flavour. We couldn't resist desserts either. I went for the poached pear with cherry sorbet and honeycomb (again, amazing to have this option as someone who is GF!) and my husband chose the tiramisu delice with coffee gelato which he really enjoyed too. For drinks I had a craspberry cooler mocktail (beautiful!!) and hubby had a beer. When we booked I was slightly concerned about bringing our 4 month old daughter with us but there was no problem fitting the pram next to the table in the carriage and Chelsea couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Overall we absolutely loved our Sunday lunch at Platform and felt that the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and portion sizes. The staff were all so friendly and the décor in the train carriages is unlike anywhere else we've visited. We followed our roast with a walk on the beach as it's so close to the restaurant. We'll definitely be back! Thank you Platform team!
