Bavettes is worth the hype. Reservations have to be made the day they are released, otherwise know you’ll be waiting a while on the waitlist even if you go early in the day. I really appreciate their waitlist system - when your table is close to being ready they text to ensure you’re still there and only wait five minutes for you to respond before moving on. This keeps the line moving. Be sure to check your phone or you’ll miss it! Snagging a seat at the upstairs bar is your option without a reservation, but you have to be confident and act fast or someone will steal it right from under you. Bavettes is great with gluten-free preparation and the service is impeccable. You go for the steaks, cocktails and ambiance (the other stuff is great too). Love the speak-easy vibe and it’s the best dirty martini I’ve had in the city.

ICONICO. Uno dei miei posti preferiti in questo mondo. Cucinare nel salone è un'esperienza così interessante. Buio, confortevole, concentrato, vibrante. È la mia seconda volta qui, ancora un'esperienza fantastica. Tutte le bevande e il cibo erano perfettamente preparati. Serena ha guidato il nostro servizio ed era molto competente e attenta insieme al personale di supporto e al manager che ha fatto ulteriori passi per garantire che l'allergia al glutine di mia moglie fosse una preoccupazione centrale, e lo abbiamo davvero apprezzato. Torneremo sempre per il miglior ristorante di Chicago.
