Sale e Pepe Mare is a beautiful addition to London's Italian dining scene. We started with the gluten free calamari fritti and the yellowtail tartare, both fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. For mains, the butcher's steak was perfectly cooked, while the halibut with asparagus was delicate and expertly prepared. The meal was paired with excellent white and red wines selected by the sommelier, and we finished with refreshing mango and coconut-lime sorbets. A special mention goes to the Portofino welcome cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service—attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely warm throughout the evening. I was also pleased to see that several gluten-free options were available, making the menu accessible without compromising on quality or flavour. An elegant restaurant offering exceptional food, outstanding hospitality and a true taste of the Italian Riviera in the heart of London.
