On a Sunday evening we wanted to find a gluten free restaurant, but most places were closed. We asked La Fontanella if they were able to provide a gluten free and lactose free meal. At first they were a bit hesitant, but then the chef suggested to grill some meat and they served potatoes with peppers baked in a pan (not in the fryer to prevent cross contamination) with it. Maybe not the most interesting gluten free meal, but still very tasteful and very kind of them to think along. I did not have the chance to look into the kitchen to say to what extent there is a risk of cross contamination, but at least the pizza oven is in a different location. So that is a good start!
