Passing through for work one day, I had lunch here. Now the place is AIC certified. I ate well, chose the fish menu and they made everything separately. One of the rare places where they don't raise the bill for a gluten-free dish (in my case there was only the first course). I am asymptomatic, so I can't comment on possible contamination.

We were there a year ago after an acquaintance with celiac disease had visited. Having a child with the same condition, we called in advance to inform ourselves about contamination. The person who answered the phone dismissed us, saying they knew how things worked and we shouldn't worry. When we arrived, the place was very crowded, with tables so close together that it was impossible to get up without bumping into the chair behind us. The gentleman who introduced himself as the owner interrupted us without listening to our questions (if they had a separate station, etc.), asserting that they understood the issue very well and we could relax. The ham for the child arrived on a wooden cutting board. When we asked for Parmesan for the pasta, we were told we could use the one in the uncovered bowls on the table from the appetizers (I should mention that we were a group of 12 people and the trays with bread and bruschetta were moving back and forth on the table). When we asked if she could eat the roast from our flamingos, we were told that meat is meat (in light of this statement, we found it pointless to ask if the bruschetta had been cooked on the same grill or if the person handling the meat had taken precautions; it was evident that they were unaware of the contamination issue). We told the child to eat as little as possible; anyway, we left around 4 PM, and by 5 PM, the child was complaining of abdominal pains. We don't know if they have improved, but we prefer not to take risks.
