So so so disappointing. I was looking forward to coming as i saw gluten free TikTokers post about the ‘amazing, hand made fresh pasta’. In the one photo is the pasta I was told i’d get, in another photo is the shop-bought pasta i got, which is identical to the ready done one i get from sainsburys all the time. And we waited over and hour for it. Real shame. Out bill was £80’each for this.

Best gluten free Italian I’ve ever had! The service is superb and the food is absolutely delectable. We had the crescentine (I couldn’t believe it was GF) and insalata to start with, Tagliatelle al Ragu Bolognese and their special Balanzoni filled with mortadella and ricotta was amazing. We finished with the tiramisu and cheesecake, and it was all gluten free, no hassle, no worries, absolutely delicious.

EXCEPTIONAL! From the location, to the super friendly staff, to the care of the raw materials to make every dish tasty with every bite. I was in London for Christmas and I can tell you with all my heart that in this restaurant I felt at home 🥰 as if my mom was cooking and that's not easy ❤️ THIS RESTAURANT DESERVES IT. P.S. Another thing, not at all taken for granted, is that their menu is also gluten-free.

What can I say, absolutely the best Italian restaurant in London! It's always a pleasure to return. Service, food, and location are perfect. Compliments to the General Manager Sandra who welcomed us and treated us impeccably throughout the evening. The gluten-free option is a great addition and a plus for the place, located just a few steps from Liverpool Street. I can't wait to return :)

What can I say, I have never eaten such good gluten-free tagliatelle with ragù and lasagna, even in Italy. Everything is strictly handmade of excellent quality. The gluten-free desserts are also really great. The chef Federica, who is also the owner of the place, is very kind and friendly. She gave me a lot of explanations about how accreditation works with Coeliac UK, the association that sets guidelines on celiac disease in the UK, of which Mattarello is the only one holding the certification in London. She also gifted me a gluten-free panettone produced in Italy at the end of dinner! TOP+++
