the best gluten-free croissant I have ever eaten!!

The pizza exceeded my expectations, sweet and exceptional croissants. The best gluten-free croissant I have ever tried. Extremely kind owners.

The Italian owners have been living in the Czech Republic for at least 20 years and before this establishment, they had another one that was also gluten-free. The owner himself is celiac. They are truly experts in the field and over the years they have refined their doughs/fermented products. Pizza, cannoli, cornetti all gluten-free and good. The establishment definitely needs a refresh.

Staying at a hotel nearby and being celiac, I wanted to try this place and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Coming from Italy, I was used to the classic "gluten-free cornetto", but here it was different! In fact, unlike the brioche bread that is usually made (as it is difficult to laminate with gluten-free), here we are on a completely different level. A truly crunchy and flavorful croissant that fills you up on the spot, impeccable!!!

We had this magnificent apple orange cake, served warm and with an amazing frosting on top that I still dream about (no wonder so many non-celiacs come here for it!). We also got a couple of croissants, one pistachio and one nutella filled, and they are were on another level, its structure was not the usual GF one, but layered and not dry at all. Just to get the idea of how good they are, we took one of them with us back home and even the morning, after just a tiny touch of the oven, it was heaven. Anf just to get the cherry on top, the staff was super open and friendly, truly resembling the ambience of the cafe. We'll definitely come back to Prague for these desserts and for that amazing pizza we saw and heard such wonders about!

A wonderful experience! The pizza is genuinely delicious — light, crispy, fully gluten-free, and made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. The service is excellent as well: the staff is kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable about gluten-free options. A big bonus is that they also offer gluten-free beer, which is not easy to find. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe gluten-free meal in Prague without compromising on taste or atmosphere.

Cannot express how FABULOUS this place is. For a girl that has been gluten free for nearly 10 years now, I have never felt so safe eating in a restaurant. So lucky to have found this gem of a place. Please if you’re visiting Prague you need to eat here!!!!

Great gluten-free place. Really everything is very good, friendly Italian owner. One of the best gluten-free pizzas I have ever eaten, and the croissant is definitely the best I have ever had 🫠.

One of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had. We had the whole grain dough if I remember correctly, with four cheeses. Absolutely delicious.

If I could, I would give even more stars! The place is very cute, welcoming, and the staff is really kind. Everything is gluten-free, I had an incredible breakfast with an amazing vanilla cream puff, so big that it was enough for lunch as well. The cappuccino was excellent and at the right temperature, not boiling hot like it is in Nordic countries. I will return on all my future visits!

Great gluten-free pizza, in addition to pizzas they also have sweet products like croissants, cakes, etc., all gluten-free! Highly recommended for celiacs who find themselves in Prague!

Excellent pizzeria! Gluten-free but you couldn't tell at all! Fantastic pizza and equally exceptional desserts. Very kind staff (which is quite rare in Prague!). The chef (Mr. Modesto, Italian) is friendly and very skilled; you can tell he puts his heart into what he does! If we return to Prague, we will definitely go back!!! Highly recommended!!!!!

A landmark for gluten-free food. Pizzas with a thick crust and excellent desserts!! Tiramisu is top-notch. I also tried the pistachio croissant for breakfast, really good!! I recommend it.

A certainty for those who want to eat gluten-free! The delicious brioche (we have been there twice for breakfast, definitely approved), the pizza is also good and the owner is kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

100% gluten-free and lactose-free. The staff was very friendly and kind; they even offered to keep our desserts at their place until the next day, the day of our return to Italy, so that they would stay in the fridge. We had a Czech crown (which I highly recommend) and a tiramisu. Everything was delicious, the environment was clean and charming. Highly recommended 100%.

We were in Prague during the early days of May 2024, and I had been told by some friends that the city was well-organized for gluten-free options. Unfortunately, I must say that I had serious difficulties finding establishments equipped to serve a decent gluten-free meal or even to enjoy a single gluten-free beer. I had read numerous positive reviews about the bar/pizzeria Bassotto, so we went to try it out.... Starting from the premise that meeting fellow countrymen abroad is always a great pleasure, in order to exchange a few words or ask for advice, the owner was truly welcoming and courteous, as well as consistently professional! Having said that....the venue has a completely gluten-free kitchen, free from any possible contamination and uses top-quality products. Finally, we were able to enjoy an excellent pizza with different dough options and a great beer. There is also a wide selection of desserts... in our case, we tasted the Nutella croissant as my son hadn't had one this good in a long time! In Italy, there aren't many places that use such good pizza dough, so really compliments and thanks for the hospitality and your professionalism! 100% recommended

Discovered by chance one evening while we were looking for a gluten-free place to eat. Great gluten-free pizza, with a really light dough! I believe I have never eaten such a good and light pizza even in Italy! Friendly and kind staff. The place is very intimate and nice. If I were to return to Prague, I would definitely go back. Highly recommended.

In the center of Prague, if you are celiac and craving something sweet, you must stop by Bassotto. We had a typical Czech dessert and a pistachio bomb that was out of this world. It's a pity that we have to leave and we discovered this place too late; otherwise, we would have gladly returned for dinner. Friendly and nice Italian staff :)

The owner was very kind and helpful, everything was gluten-free, the desserts were delicious, and the pizza had a fluffy crust! He also spoke excellent Italian despite not being Italian. Highly recommended, we ate very well and it was absolutely gluten-free approved!

We stopped this morning for breakfast, and in the end, we also stayed for lunch. We had a great time, and it was pleasant to talk with the owners who speak Italian. They are super kind and very nice. 👍 Gluten-free pizzas are excellent!

The best gluten-free products in Prague. The croissants are simply fantastic, as is the bread and pizza. If I hadn’t known it was all gluten-free, I wouldn’t have noticed. Fast and courteous service. Great selection of wines and beers, as well as Italian coffee. Well done 👏
