There is a really nice outdoor seating terrace, on a pedestrianised street. When the sun is shining its a lovely place to sit and eat. We went for the Con Todo (All in) and it was plenty of food for the two of us, and a great selection of dishes. It was very good value for everything that was included. Its nice to get the tortillas to snack on while the rest of the food is cooked. The wings are great, full of flavour and crispy, the dulche de leche wings are full of unami and butteriness and unlike any I have had before. We loved the grilled chicken which had a great smoking. Of course it is amazing for gluten free, my wife loved the crispy fried wings, you don't get these often gluten free.

As someone with coeliac disease, I was really looking forward to eating here. The restaurant gets so much praise within the gluten-free community that I expected it to be one of the highlights of the day. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to the hype. The food had good flavour, but it wasn’t anything exceptional. It also arrived only lukewarm rather than piping hot, which was disappointing. The biggest issue, though, was the value for money. The portion sizes were much smaller than expected, especially given the prices. The best example was the house salad, it cost £8 (before the 13.5% service charge) and was served in what was essentially a small sauce pot. It was genuinely tiny and felt impossible to justify at that price. The service wasn’t much better. We had to keep trying to get someone’s attention just to receive menus, order drinks, place our food order and eventually pay the bill. At no point did anyone check how the meal was or ask if we needed anything else. I really wanted to love this place because of its reputation within the gluten-free community, but I came away feeling underwhelmed. The food was tasty enough, but not outstanding, and it certainly didn’t justify the high prices. When you combine the small portions, lukewarm food, inattentive service and automatic 13.5% service charge, it just wasn’t worth the money. Sadly, I wouldn’t return.

Unfortunately, for several reasons, El Pollote did not meet our expectations. Firstly, when ordering, I was reassured by the server that the regular bun on the burger could be switched for a gluten free bun to make it safe for coeliacs. My non-coeliac husband suspected that the bun was in fact not the gluten free bun (photos included). Out of an abundance of caution, I checked with the server who took our order and she hastily confirmed it was definitely not the gluten free bun and the meal was taken away and remade. Luckily, I hadn’t yet eaten any part of the meal. If I had consumed even just one bite of the burger, I most definitely would have become very sick. I’m sure fellow coeliacs can relate! I would not have been so inclined to leave a negative review if the staff had seemed genuinely concerned and apologetic. However, they did not really seem to care that they had almost severely glutened me and no attempt at compensation was discussed either e.g. removing the 13.5% service charge. All that was given was a simple sorry from the server who took our order. Additionally, it was the most lacklustre burger we had tasted - plain fried chicken, lettuce, mayo, cheese, pickles, bun. Not bad but not at all memorable or worthy of the price charged. Reminded me of a burger I had from KFC pre-coeliac days. This may be due to needing to remove the chorizo (not halal) but I don’t believe one ingredient should carry the entire meal. The rest of the food was nice but ridiculously expensive for the portion size you get (£9 for two small ping-pong ball sized croquettas, £12 for two wings, £20 for a couple of pieces of guava fried chicken). At over £80 for two people, and for somewhere boasting gluten free options, quite a disappointing experience.

Amazing food and staff. Massive bonus points for it being Gluten free. My only wish is the boneless fried chicken main should come with chips - maybe I'm just greedy though.... Definitely one to come back to

I had a fantastic time! I was served by German and he was excellent, so lovely and had great recommendations! I am a celiac and they were beyond accommodating. The food was delicious and very well priced. Will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience here at the El Pollote. The food was great and the whole menu except for the churros was gluten free (they are fried separately anyway) so it is the perfect spot for coeliacs. The place was very nice and Barbara, the waitress, was very kind and friendly. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and also gave us some suggestions about places to visit and things to see. Really an amazing experience!

This place is one of my favourites in London and it's recently had a wee design change. Luckily the food as stayed exactly the same. Unique takes on Latin/Spanish good is a delight. Great for gluten free people too. I preferred the vibe of the old desgin of the restaurant but the food is still top.

Great Gluten Free with some Dairy free Latin American. Really fresh and authentic. Generous portions that we had to do takeaway and didn't get to try desserts. Service was very good and quick. Simple quiet atmosphere on a Sunday ( lunch hour)though there was some drilling going on in the basement. Would like if a couple more veg mains and dairy free starters. With drinks we spent £45 per head incl vat and service.

One of my favourite Gluten Free spot in London!! The food is absolutely delicious and everything arrived very fast. The staff is also very friendly and I loved the Latin atmosphere! I absolutely recommend it !!!

A good discovery in central London that is surprisingly gluten-free friendly. The menu offers a good mix of popular Latino cuisine and the portions are very generous. We loved the empanadas and the chicken wings. Service was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere good, albeit the music was a bit loud at times. We’ll definitely come back!

Delicious food - the guava glaze mixed with mayonnaise is great. The yuca fries also very nice. Great drinke and vibe too. Joceline looked after us really well - cannot wait to be back.

We picked this place because of the gluten free menu and my friend being halal, the atmosphere and music was great, all of the food is amazing, but be prepared for the buffereno wings to be hot! Thank you to Josaline and the rest of the team, we had a lovely evening
