Don't eat here if you have any food allergies or intolerance. Despite communicating at booking, arrival and ordering i was 'glutened ' as a coeliac, no fun. The waiter in charge on the night did have the decency to tell me there had been a communicatikn mistake and was apologetic. It ruined the evening and we had to leave a family meal early and I was very ill. The menu isn't marked up with any potential allergies so you're in the hands of service staff and their ability to communicate with kitchen. I've looked back at previous reviews since my experience and others have experienced similar. So Despite assurances from management since that they've reviewed their processes I'm doubtful! Hence I haven't taken up their offer of a complimentary meal ! Stay well clear.

Went there for lunch ona Saturday. A nice modern pub with seasonal food made with good ingredients. Ordered the squash dish as a main. A bit underseasoned and a bit on the smaller side for a main, but really went well with the accompanying mushroom and chestnuts. As a plus, really considerate when it comes to allergies and other food requirements, e.g., gluten free.
