The place is not what it used to be. Very arrogant and rude servants. If you're a walk in and don't have reservation, you're treated like a criminal and have no right to be there. Furthermore, they do not except credit cards and insist upon cash or debit cards. Their attitude is not very hospitable and very condescending. I asked to be seated in a corner table by a window and was flatly refused, with a malicious attitude. I was going to spend at least three hundred dollars, but there treatment of my guest and myself was intolerable. I will never recommend Peter Lugers to any of my friends, relatives, retirees, or anyone in my social media contacts (Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram) if they don't improve their people skills I can see Peter Lugers going out of business and would be saddened if they do. They were an outstanding establishment at one time, it's a shame that they are not longer the business they once were. In closing, I walked out with my guest and went to "La Cabaña" in Queens. Excellent restaurant food, service and ambiance is highly recommended. Price is very reasonable for the high quality of service and delicious food.

This was my first time at Peter Luger Steak House. I have a severe gluten allergy and the waiters were so attentive, knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind! I asked many questions and they were very knowledgeable on all of the food. I felt super safe eating here and I would go back! I was even given a guide to what is safe for me vs what is not! Amazing service! I had two waiters (one with a beard who I unfortunately forgot the name of) and Benny! Both amazing!!!
