Ginos offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly service, with staff always ready to meet customers' needs. However, some recent experiences indicate areas of improvement in the gluten-free dishes.

I've come here to eat a few times, and each time I come it's worse than the last. I ordered a gluten-free prosciutto pizza, it arrived cold with 8 slices of ham and the cheese barely melted. When I told the waitress if they could melt the cheese a bit more (and that way the pizza would be warmed up), she said no, that the pizzas come as they come. It seems like they took it straight from the freezer and put it on my plate. We also ordered a gluten-free garlic bread, and the pizzas arrived before the starter. Incredible. I came to this Ginos because it is one of the few places I can eat in Islazul, but I think this will be my last visit. Celiacs, do not come.

Although I usually go to Gino's relatively frequently, always satisfied with the experience, today I must share a little disappointment. We went in attracted by the gluten-free menu, and the experience has not been the best; we ordered a pasta dish, baked rigatoni, and a pizza, the new barbecue chicken. The pasta was overcooked, so hard that it was very difficult to eat, having to ask for it to be taken away. The pizza was good. I understand that the demand for dishes for celiacs may be low at this establishment, and perhaps they may not have acquired the skill with gluten-free pasta, but before serving clearly overcooked dishes, they should be tasted.

I am going for a family meal at Ginos in Isla Azul and after finding out if there was gluten-free food for me since I am the only one with this intolerance and the waiter informing me well, we are ready to order. We ordered a starter so that I can eat it, which is FONDUTTA DI FORMAGGI WITHOUT GLUTEN to share at the table. For the main course, everyone orders pasta to their liking and I order the GLUTEN-FREE CARBONARA. Here comes the problem: they first serve the main courses with gluten, forgetting to bring the shared gluten-free dish first. After they are already eating, they bring the starter down, and I remind the waiter that this should have been served before their respective dishes. Once they’ve almost finished their meal and I am still watching them, I remind the waiter where my plate is, and he informs me that it is still a little while away. My reaction is that I no longer want it because everyone has finished eating, and honestly, I’ve lost the desire to try the food. Why do we celiacs have to eat at a different time than those who aren’t?! If there’s a delay in the dishes, why not inform us first so the customer knows what to expect? Regards to a customer who was looking forward to trying new places and new food but has now lost the desire; I will inform the Association, thank you.

We were there yesterday, March 30th, with 10 people at the restaurant, including a celiac child. We have been going to Ginos Islazul for many years, and I can assure you that the quality right now is terrible, at least in this restaurant. The gluten-free spaghetti for the child came in a lump, cold and dry, as if anything would do for them; that’s the feeling we got (photo). The Caesar salad had giant pieces of lettuce and the chicken was even worse, the chicken milanesa was inedible, so dry it was unbearable, and the rest of the food was cold; we had to ask them to heat it up. It was really disappointing. I can assure you that we won’t be back, and it wouldn’t hurt for them to review the quality, presentation, and cooking of the dishes.

Well, the food was quite good but it took them half an hour to bring us some bottles of water. We first ordered a starter and after 40 minutes I went to ask and they told me that since we had ordered a gluten-free pizza it took longer. In the end, they brought everything at once and the pizza was so overcooked that I couldn't cut the edges with the knife; they were like rock. I ordered a gluten-free tiramisu and besides being quite bad, it was frozen in the center. Nothing like a regular tiramisu. Anyway, it was just this place because we've been to others and this has never happened to us.
