This is where Baru makes the best gluten-free and lactose-free cakes (some are also dairy-free). It's a completely safe place, with no cross-contamination, making it suitable for celiacs. They also have homemade gluten-free bread, which I haven't tried yet, but it's definitely on my list. And the coffee is very good too. A great place for breakfast and afternoon tea in the central Plaza del Cabildo. The photo of the display case, with the lighting and the glass, doesn't do justice to how amazing the cakes look. The caramel and nougat cake was delicious, and the San Marcos cake was incredible—the best I've ever had. With its moist sponge and wonderful egg yolk filling... it was my birthday cake this year 😊
