We spent a delightful three nights at the Gasthaus Bischenburg. The location is great, with easy access to everything Schwarzwald has to offer, including the beautiful Gaisholl Wassefalle. Their on site restaurant offers coeliac safe gluten free food. Everything on the menu can be prepared gluten free! Every meal we had was delicious, and I was over the moon they were able to take the time and prepare the famous Schwarzwald Kirschetorte glutenfrei for me to enjoy. It was amazingly delicious, I would visit again solely for the cake. Aside from the food, the biggest highlight was the incredible people working at the Gasthaus. They are so friendly, warm and welcoming. They really made our stay.

We ate here after a walk up the Gaishöll waterfalls which end just below the Gasthaus. It was very refreshing to be told anything on the menu be made gluten free. I had Flammkuchen, my daughter has Käsespätzle, both were very good. There wasn't a vegan option, which would mean we couldn't all go as a family, but I was very happy to have an easy, delicious lunch in a lovely location. Thank you.

We went three times during our stay in the area just for the food. Everything on their menu can be made gluten free and it is all delicious. The gluten free deserts are kept in a separate area away from the normal ones and they're fantastic. You won't leave hungry either as the portions are more than enough to feed any appetite. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Additionally, they make probably ~15 different kinds of chocolate all of which are gluten free (which is very hard to find in Germany). There is also a distillery with some wonderful options. The location is a bit up in the mountain area, but very much worth the drive. Take a minute to look behind the Gasthaus as it has a wonderful overlook into the valley below.
