Modern Japanese restaurant within a luxury hotel. Clientele mostly Caucasians with probably little understanding or appreciation of what really good Japanese food is supposed to be. Mainly a fusion type menu. The chef tries too hard resulting in flavours which overpower the natural joy of good sushi. The creative sushi rolls were awful and the rice was not done properly. Almost glutinous! Service was a hit and miss. Sat down for almost 5 minutes without being served. Bad for such an expensive high end restaurant. But the more senior staff came to the rescue. She was very open to comments and seemed genuinely interested to make the restaurant better. All in all disappointing with much to improve upon.
